A good place to get your car washed. They also have a ramp and pressure house for cleaning the chassis underneat (which was badly needed as we drove lots of gravel and mud roads during the rainy season). They have Vaccum cleaners too. We also let the engine get a wash as we brought the car the next day into service. We paid N$ 180 for an hour of work on the outside.

What a wonderful place to stay 😀 We just loved it. The owners Marianne and Pieter are such welcoming and helpful hosts. Great location all by yourself on top of a dune (2.7 km away from the farmhouse), a big shady tent with table and benches, kitchen area with water tap (drinking water) and sink, gas cooker, braai area (incl. wood) and even power!
A lovely open air shower (with hot water) and a toilet with a view. All is very clean and well maintained. Lots of lovely details, like solar powered lamps for the way to the toilet, the sitting area and kitchen, soap, shower gel, hand towels in the kitchen and bathroom. We stayed two nights and for sure we are coming back. We can only recommend this place 👍

Well worth the stop at this vinery which is part if the N/a'aukuse Ecotourism Collection.
We did a shared tasting (4 red wines) accompanied by a (big) cheesplatter for N$ 225 as is was 10.30 am in the morning!
It was a very nice experience and we left at the end with two bottles of wine 😉

We have been here a few years ago and where looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately the once green sites dotted along the river with the pools do not have any shade anymore. The most trees are dead, some have already fallen or had to be cut - for us it looked like from a fire but the owners say because of the draugh. A real pitty as the owners are very nice and the pools after the flooding cristal clear and refreshing. We stayes one night instead of the planned two. N$ 185p.Per/night with shared bathrooms/showers.
For N$ 50 you can go for a swimm as day visitor which is well worth the stop.

We stayed two nights at camp no 4 which is quite private/separate from the oter camps and has nice view of the river/hippos. No 4x4 needed gir the drive in but high clearance recommended. No electricity or drinking water st sites. Did a wonderful early morning boat cruise with Dan the owner. Lots of birds, hippos, antelops. Camp N$ 270/Pers. boat cruise N$ 450/Pers for 3- 4 hours. Recommended.

Unfortunstely it was closed. we checked again on Dec 30th - still closed. No information but I guess because of Covid-19.

As described before nice campsites - no 3 is the best as it has an open view of a sidearm of the kwando river - no 2 is quite overgrown. We loved the small pool with a view. Bar was closed when we where there. Paid N$ 240/Pers

Excellent car wash. No hight limit, pressure house (even a bay for cleaning under the car), very atentive staff. Price depending on size of car. For an Amarok (washing and also cleaning inside) we paid N$120, for our Toyota Landcruiser with cleaning outside, underneat and inside N$220. Recommended!

A small italien restaurant with very good pizza (thin and crispy), homemade pasta, carpaccio and much more. The owner Massimo is from Northern Italy his wife Julia from MX. Very good service, excellent quality and reasonable prices. Recommended👍

Very recommended ophthalmologist in case you need to check your eye sight, need new glasses or think about to laser your eyes or operate the gray star. Dr Luis Ernesto Figueroa Solis is a very experienced doctor and has many clients from overseas.

If you want to treat yourself to something special this is a great store with European products. Cheese from Gaisberg, Germany (Mutschli, Camembert, Brie, Limbourger, Blue cheese and more) as well as a good selection of charcuteria (Ham, Salami, parma ham and more). Further they have Wine, Oil, Sardines, Ancoviche and also sweets like flan. Very recommended.

We have been here several times now. Roberto has improved the site even more. There are 3 great showers with curtains now in each sanitary block. Because of the pandemia he closed the balneario in May and used the closed time to install an irrigation system for the trees and there is now more shade - a little paradies.
Entrance now Mx 70 per Person.
Depending on the development of the Covid19 Situation he will reopen on August 2020. We love this place.

This is an excellent Taller (Panel beater, body work and paint shop). Yuco and his team are very professional, and they did an excellent job on our Toyota Landcruiser. We had some big dents and in three days he fixed them and did also an excellent paint job for a very fair price. Recommended.

Excellent butcher (carniceria) where you can buy all sorts of meat (nice thick cuts like in the states) They vacumize it for you. They also sell coal and herbs. You can also order by phone/online and pick it up later.

This is indeed a beautiful place to spend a few days. Shady campsites with water. The owner, Roberto Castro, is a very nice and helpful fellow and it is impressive what he built already in the short time. There are two pools built out of volcanic rocks. The big is warm, the small is hot. Very clean toilets (with paper). Showers in planning. You can have a look at the geysirs by the river where the hot water comes out with 96 Grad Celsius! Excellent italian Rest wirh wood fired pizza oven. Good service and delicious food, nice setting with garden out front or in the back. Owner is from Florenze. Recommended.

If you love REAL bread (German style) which is crispy, cheese, yogurth, butter, cream, homemade jam and much more this is the place to visit! The fresh products are made by Mennonites. They have a wonderful garden to eat freshly prepared dishes too. Parking on site in an enclosed/safe estacionemento (Entrance is high enough if you have an RV. Recommended.

We had an electrical problem with our horn and this place was recommended to us. The owner Arturo (second generation) is very helpful, professional and speaks English as well. They found and fixed our problem very quickly. The entrance/garage is high enough for bigger RV. Recommended.

We are back after a year and this place gets even better. Now toilet seats (bathroom/showers open 24h), he installed a strong WiFi Router and at the moment they are bringing in water and power (for light) at the camp area. Still Mx 350 for 1 night afterwards Mx 200. They also do laundry for Mx 70 a load and transportation to the historic center is Mx 250. The whole place is well maintained and you have also access to all pools after closing hours (6pm until 9am)

A good place to wash your car/RV yourself - different boots depending on the size of your car. Now Mx 14 per Token. 1 Token/2.5- 3.0 Min.
You can buy them in the shop and if you do not use them all they take it back and return the money. Vacoom cleaner on site too. Recommended.

One of our keys for the Toyota Landcruiser was worn out and we needed a new spare one. Quick and professional service. They copy the key on the spot and you can try it out if it works. Mx 50 per key - we ordered two.

As described before this is an excellent restaurant - very nice ambiente, delicious food, excellent service. Family owned. And not located on the "tourist-mile". Recommended.

As said before Teresa and Luise are wonderful hosts and do everything to make you comfortable. We stayed three night in the shady parking lot with view of the river, hot showers in the bathroom of the dorm if it is not occupied otherwise in the mainhouse. Power down at the kitchen (helpful if you have an extension cable). We had dinner once which was delicious. They work hard to make further improvements to the place (Camping Mx200 per night/car, dinner Mx 100/Pers) Can truly recommend a stay here.

If you would like to spend a cool night - this is the place. With over 2100 Meters it is truly refreshing . Nice Pine forest around you. No infrastructure, free.

Excellent chicken and very nice staff (family-business). Trully s local favorite (eat in, to go and delivery) They told us they grill and sell approx. 120 chicken a day. Recommended.

Ferry who goes 3 times a day (8am, 12am, 4pm) over the lake. The road to Urique is much shorter but slower because of a quite challenging road (steep, rocky, washouts, rivercrossings) but if you like some challenge you should drive it - incredible beautiful.
