June 23rd, 2018 | Tsavo West National Park Chyulu Gate | Choose this gate when you come from Amboseli. Prices are (Non-Residents): 52$ pp, Camping 20$ pppn (they have 3 campsites in the park) and 300 Ksh for a car. We couldn't pay here. You get a gate pass and with that you have to go to one of the main gates where you can only pay with creditcard or mpesa. No cash accepted.

June 16th, 2018 | Camp Carnelley's | We expected a bit more because of the reviews below. Yes, it is a nice place with lots of shade and clean ablutions but that's it. Nothing special and not worth the detour from or to the way to Nairobi especially for 800 Ksh! We didn't try the restaurant. |
June 5th, 2018 | Engiri Lodge & Campsite | Very nice level camping spot with shelter against rain and schade against sun. Super friendly staff! Wanted 10$ pppn but we negociated them to 7$. Showers are still under construction but we got a key from a room to use the very clean bathroom. Toilets are on the place and also clean. One watertap is near the reception. In the night they make a fire against the animals (we saw and hear elephants, a hippo, hyenas and lions). They also offer safari tours: half day 70$ per car, full day 140$ excl. park entry 40$ pp. The place is inside the park but outside the gates, so you don't have to pay any entrance fees to get here. Highly recommended. |
June 5th, 2018 | Dave's Cave | Very basic and run down, no running water in the toilet and toilet not clean. Hot water from donkey shower in a banda. The owner David is very friendly. They charged 15$ pppn but we negociated down to 10$. Still absolutly overpriced! And after the shower didn't become hot we moved to another place. For this price we would not recomment. |

May 30th, 2018 | Urugo Women's Opportunity Centre | One of the best places we stayed in Africa. Beautiful, clean and well organiced centre with campsite on grass with shade or tented houses with stunning view over the valley.

May 27th, 2018 | Stanley Motel Annex in Singida | We were not allowed to camp here. We took a room for 30.000. The room was big and clean with fan and mosquitonet and had a warm shower. We ordered also dinner there. The food was OK but it took over 2 hours till it was served and then they wanted almost 10.000 more for a starter (4.500 in the menu and 13.000 on the bill). After long discussion we paid the price on the menu. So if you eat there check your bill! |
May 24th, 2018 | Manjis Gas Depot | Here is the depot where they refill your bottle. There is no sign, it is just a red gate right from HANSPAUL. Just horn or knock on the door and they will open. You first have to pay in town. They filled our German bottle without an adapter. |
March 5th, 2018 | TRA - Tanzania Revenue Authority | TRA for extension of the TIP. Customs is in Room 210. Friendly staff. You have to wear long trousers for entering the building. |
March 5th, 2018 | Simbamwanni Lodge Camping | Very nice owner and friendly staff. Real hot water in the shower and one of the cleanest toilets in whole Africa since months. Pool is really nice and big enough for swimming.
March 4th, 2018 | Camp Bastian | Very friendly staff and owner and nice campground. Toilet is clean. The showers had only cold water. WIFI at the bar and the spot near the bar worked fast. There is also a restaurant but we didn't use it. Beer is 4500 TSH and camping 10$. Not suitable for big trucks and difficult for rooftop tents because of trees. But the owner told us they build a new place for these kind of vehicles and they also build new ablutions. All in all (at the moment) a bit overpriced for what you get. |
March 2nd, 2018 | Mala Green (MG) Campsite Park | Very friendly owner Alfred, very basic ablutions. When we there, he had a problem with the (still cold) shower so we had to wash out of a bucket. But this problem is just temporary he told us. Ok for a stop over before or after crossing the border. Price was 10000 tsh for 2 and a car. |

March 1st, 2018 | Thunduzi beach and camping | This place is in wrong location - it is located at -10.42690, 34.25065 |

March 1st, 2018 | Thunduzi beach and camping | Owner and his daughter were very friendly. Very nice place at the beach with beautiful view. (Cold) shower and toilet a bit run down. Ok for one or two nights but not what we expected after the first review. Price was 4500 pppn |
February 26th, 2018 | Mzuzu Panel Beaters | They couldn't fill our german gas bottle. They sell 6 kg bottles including stove top for 51000 Kwacha. Very friendly and helpful staff |
February 17th, 2018 | Palm Beach Lodge Camp | Nice camping directly on the beach. A lot of local people doing their laundry and dishes there also a lot of children hangig around. But they were all friendly and were not begging.
February 15th, 2018 | Kuchawe Trout Farm | Price is now 3000 pppn. You should bring your own toilet and maybe water because the ablutions are not useable. The two watertaps at the place are not working but a man brought us 20 liter so we could fill our water bag and shower with it. There is also no flushing water in the toilet.
February 14th, 2018 | Liwonde Safari Camp | Very nice campground with very good and spacious ablutions and friendly staff. Also a restaurant and a bar there but not cheap (e.g. portion chips 4 $). We didn't use it. Normally children under 4 years are not allowed because it is in the national park and the camp has no fences. But we were allowed to camp with our baby because we sleep IN the car. Price is still 10 $ pppn. Highly recommended! |
February 12th, 2018 | Dean's Hill View Lodge | Almost everything on the last review is right. The showers in the men's ablutions worked but they had just cold water. The women's showers had also hot water. The WIFI is still not working. But the staff is friendly and it is cheap with K60/K80 with/without electricity. Ok for one night but not more. The spots are not level. |

January 31st, 2018 | prime health MEDICAL PRACTICE | Private Clinic. We went there because of a tonsillitis. Very fast help and very friendly staff and doctor. All in all it took us about 30 minutes. European standard. Opening hours see picture. |
January 30th, 2018 | Dusty Donkey Cafe | Nice coffeeshop. They also serve light meals and slices of cake and muffins. WIFI is still free. |
January 29th, 2018 | Maun Rest Camp | Now 80 Pula pppn without river view, 100 Pula pppn with river view. Staff was friendly. All places on sand, shade from many trees, but they should cut them because of very low hanging branches. Tiny, a bit dirty pool, indoor and outdoor showers. Especially the outdoor showers could need some maintenance. The water splashed in every direction. But it is hot. A lot of mosquitos everywhere, also in the toilet. |
January 24th, 2018 | Woodlands Stop Over Camp & Lodge | The same as stated below, nice ablutions, WIFI, good pool. Payed 230 Pula for 2 and a camper. |
January 22nd, 2018 | Martin's Drift | It also took us about 20 minutes to cross the boarder.
