March 15th, 2020 La Jungla, Catemaco

Wow! One of our best spots in nature here in Mexico 👍we could stay for weeks there but we'd to organize our earlier shipment from Veracruz due the Corona spreading - so we had just two wonderful days in this little paradise; we saw and heard so many beautiful birds, also howler monkeys and saw a big 3m+ crocodile..so be careful when you go for swimming in the lake😏the road or better the nature, the jungle to get into is breathtaking; the price (80pesos per person and night) is really cheap for such a great location and benefits of hot showers and flushing toilets! We highly recommend this this wonderful and magical place! Perfect location to sit out the virus😉

March 13th, 2020 Recreativo El Gordo y San Pancha & trailer park

Safe stay for one night on our way to Veracruz for shipment; during the day pretty busy but in the afternoon o.k; loud music until 11p.m but no problem; lots of mosquitoes when we where there

March 13th, 2020 Large Aduana Checkpoint

March 12th, 2020 Bats Cave Show

If's on your way and time management you have to see this " natural show"; it was pretty busy when we showed up around 5pm ; there were two volunteers and at least 25-30 people- the rules says: no group bigger then 15.- but they don't care about that; great show..still free ; we gave 50Pesos as a tip

March 12th, 2020 Zona de Arqueológicos de Balanku

Yes,it's definitely not crowded there and easy to explore in +/- 1hour; the structures inside the ruins are pretty impressive; also a great spot to have a lunchtime in your car/camper because there are several opportunities to find shade under a tree at the parking lot

March 12th, 2020 Garra de Jaguar

Stayed there two nights for free but had always dinner and drinks; nice little restaurant with several cabanas ; we couldn't use the shower because all cabanas were occupied; safe place in an relaxed community 👍

March 11th, 2020 Calakmul ruins

We're confirming the statements; be impressed by the historical site and enjoy the drive in/out and take your time like we did and you'll see lots of wildlife- colorful turkeys, toucans and jumping and crying monkeys up in the trees; with our 18f long and 10f.high pickup camper it took us 2 hours in and 2,5hours out with many photo stops; the road is in good condition and they're maintaining the last 15km at the moment; there are nice Picknick tables under the tree at the entrance so calm and cool down after the 3-4hour through the ruins-take plenty of water with you, there is no possibility to buy and avoid the higher temperatures at noon; we highly recommend this historical site and the biospheres park

March 10th, 2020 Yaax'Che

We found this is a wonderful place to stay right in the jungle with the benefit of rustic restrooms; when we arrived a bunch of howler monkeys gave us a great show right at the campground; we liked it there very much and stayed two nights; the bumpy road is not recommended for bigger rigs —> 24f and more:; great place to stay 👍

March 9th, 2020 Military Checkpoint

A very friendly Military guy stopped us and was asking where we want to go ,where we from and if we like Mexico-Si..Mexico is muy bonito! There was also a big Federal Police control +/-5km before on the other site/lane from Calakmul to Chetumal - they didn't stopped us on our way to Calakmul.

March 9th, 2020 Becan and Rio Bec archeological sites

Wow! This Mayan site is definitely a "MustStop!" Friendly staff, very low price with 65Pesos per person and in the whole area less then 15people during our 1,5 hours of exploration. There are several opportunities to park your rig unter a tree/ in the shadow. Also good for a lunch stop. We highly recommend this historical site.

March 9th, 2020 Agua inmaculada

Still 10Pesos for 20l; it's also possible to fill up your big 20l canister like ours from Germany

March 8th, 2020 Yax Ha Resort

Stayed 10days and mostly just with one or two others on the huge and beautiful area; sometimes there is loud music from the nearby restaurant and the karaoke bar but mostly the music stops around 10p.m; the restrooms are very good and well maintained; lots of seabirds to see from the shoreline

February 26th, 2020 Balneario Ejidal Buenavista

February 25th, 2020 Chamico's

Beautiful and relaxed place to stay longer- like we: 27days; perfect location for swimming,snorkeling,beach walking and SUP; between the palm trees and with the wind from the ocean it's also a great place to "beet" the heat and sun; the price is still 150Pesos per person and night; close to the restaurant it's more busy during the day and of course at the weekend but it's always easy going and low noise;

February 17th, 2020 La Nave

You have to pay first at the little cashier building and then go to the filling platform; most expensive propane filling for our 6kg bottle=120pesos...muy caro!

January 29th, 2020 Police aggressive

No police today at 9:30am ; we're on our way to Tulum and saw no police, no stopping signs..nothing

January 29th, 2020 Estacionamiento Ipark

Great place with very friendly and helpful staff; we parked our Mitsubishi Pickup camper there for 16 days( 5,80m long; 2,10m wide and 2,95m high...with lowering the tire pressure we had no issues to fit under the sun roof) ; they are offering a great free shuttle service to and from!! the Airport ; when we came back late from Germany we asked if it's possible to sleep inside our camper and they had no problem with that, so we had an safe place in Cancun for 160pesos/ night and the benefit to use the restrooms there; there is also a Gomarket on the other street; we highly recommend that place

January 11th, 2020 police stop

Got stopped by a friendly young Estatal Policemen; he looked at our front and asked if our license plates are original and where we from- while we're talking i saw a German Polizei patch at his uniform and talked about the region where it comes from= that breaks the ice and we had an easy going conversation...and blocking the road for at least 5min..sorry for the 5 cars behind us

January 11th, 2020 Cenote Ich-Ha Rancho El Retoño

Arrived at 2:30pm, paid 100Pesos for each person for the cenote/ entrance fee and 200Pesos for our camper to stay the night there; calm and safe place; helpful people
