August 25th, 2016 Hospedaje Las Palmeras

They let us stay in their parking lot and use the toilets for 10S. They lock everything at around 8pm so be aware when arriving late. High vehicles probably won't be able to enter. We didn't have any problems with our popup camper.

August 24th, 2016 Hotel Samary

The owner is really nice. We were able to sleep in our car and use the shared bathroom for 25 Soles per day.

August 7th, 2016 Hotel Turista

Nice Hotel with amazing view! Charged 145 Soles for a double room with 2 separate beds. They have a big parking lot where you can fit bigger cars.

August 5th, 2016 Huacachina Parking Lot

5 soles per day. Felt safe.

August 3rd, 2016 Paracas 360 Hostel Camping possible but have to pay 70soles per vehicle

No camping at this place. We needed an accommodation in addition to the possibility to camp and they did not allow us. Said they are a hostel and NOT a camping. Went to the bamboo place instead where you sleep on a parking lot directly next to the sea.

July 26th, 2016 La Casona

Hostel on top of the hill where you can stay on the parking lot and use their facilities for 10s/car. Tent camping is 5s. Toilets and showers are a little rustic but work. There was a nice crowd of people in the hostel while we were there. It's a really good place to relax and enjoy the waves. Only a short walk to the two surf spots close. Hostel has also a restaurant but it is more expensive than other options in town. Best solution is to bring your own food. Next shopping option is in Talara. You could probably use a plug nearby to use electricity but you'll need an extension cord. They have rooms too. I think a dorm room cost around 30s.

July 22nd, 2016 Donde Raul camping

Stayed there in our car. Owners are nice and they try to keep the place clean but with only 3 toilets and 40 people using them it's hard. Very festival like atmosphere.

July 21st, 2016 Santuario Hibiscus Guest House

Lovely place and the owners Franziska and Dan are super friendly. Make sure to stay a few days to relax and enjoy the property. The climate is just perfect to hang out and take a brake from traveling. The last 2 km of the road gets a little rough but it's manageable without 4x4. Phone: +593 072262660 or cell: +593 0994951067

July 20th, 2016 Parking Parque De La Madre

Best Wifi we had in a while! If you want to sleep in you car it's a good place to stay in the city.

July 18th, 2016 Gated Parking Lot

5$ per night. Good place to stay for one night.

July 18th, 2016 Backpacker Great Hostel

Parking on the parking lot of the hostel in between dog poo. Water did not work in the morning so we thought we just shower later. When we came back the not so friendly desk lady told us that now we can't shower now because our "camp-time" was over. When we ask how much we had to pay just to take a shower she only repeated the same on and on in a really rude manner. We probably would have even stayed another night but since the lady didn't even seem to care to be friendly we left.

July 11th, 2016 Airport Parking "San Jose"

Really really nice owners. The best option if you need to leave your car and fly somewhere. Shuttle service is awesome!

July 9th, 2016 Parking Place CĂrculo Militar

Everything still correct. Only downside that they have opening hours which means during the week you can't arrive later than 10 pm otherwise they won't let you in. First night we ask if we can stay out longer what they didn't mind. Sunday's we wanted to leave the parking with our car but unfortunately the cashier left early. Took some convincing to the guard to let us out anyway. Felt really safe.

July 8th, 2016 Finca Sommerwind

It's really worth a stop! Nice place to rest and hang out.

July 7th, 2016 las lajas parking of telepheric

It's true the staff is soooo nice. Wifi worked excellent.

June 30th, 2016 La Serrana Hostel

Too expensive for a parking lot behind the hostel. 26.000 COP pP not negotiable.

June 27th, 2016 La Hacienda Venecia

Price is now 20.000 COP pP. We arrived late and didn't have another option. Wifi is super slow and only working in one spot. Surely it is a nice place. When you drive there make sure to follow the sign to the hospedaje over the little bridge and not to the hostel.

June 14th, 2016 Casa Amarilla

Nice place. As they don't have dorms anymore it got more expensive but after some bargaining they made us a really good deal. Check their website as it explains how you can get to mompox.

June 11th, 2016 Mompos Ferry Terminal

Don't pay any agents there are some now that try to get money by promising you a space on the ferry. It's a rip off.

June 11th, 2016 Bodega Ferry Terminal

Don't pay any agents there are some now that try to get money by promising you a space on the ferry. It's a rip off.

June 9th, 2016 Parking

only 25.000 COP for 24 hrs. Thus can only fit smaller vehicles. Our Pickup camper (popup) just fitted. Also the street are a little narrow.

June 8th, 2016 Hotel La Magdalena

One of the best hotels you can choose when you don't want to spend lots of money on hotel stays. Super clean and really nice staff. Paid 80.0000 COP for 2 people per night. There are several parkings close. Even one right across the street which was only 25.000 COP for 24 hrs. Thus can only fit smaller vehicles. Our Pickup camper (popup) just fitted. Also the street are a little narrow.

May 24th, 2016 Behind Country Inn Hotel

Nice spot for organizing everything before going to Columbia. Cross point for overlanders traveling north and south. Felt really save.

May 21st, 2016 Surfers Paradise

As said before really nice spot with a breathtaking view. It is 8$ pp. We agreed on 6$ if we not use the kitchen. Right now they are expanding so there is quite a lot going on (screaming early in the morning, a lot of building material on the floor etc.). We did not really understand what the 2 cleaning ladies were for since the bathrooms where really really filthy and didn't get cleaned in a long time (which makes a camper wonder what he actually pays the money for). Nice and friendly owner that are helpful if you have any questions. Perfect spot for surfers with access to two surf spots. Wifi was broken if working it is only over a mobile data router.

April 28th, 2016 EXIT Nicaragua - Penas Blancas, Nicaragua/Costa Rica border

Really one of the most tiring boarder crossings. Just be patient.

April 25th, 2016 Comedor Vanessa

We had an excellent lunch here. Traditional food and the waitress was really friendly. 235 cordobas for two dishes and 1 liter of beer.

April 24th, 2016 Finca Samaria

Friendy family. There are two different grounds next to each other which belong together. One is a hostel and the other on is more tent camping and bar/restaurant. Don't follow gps a sign at the main road will tell you when to turn.

April 18th, 2016 Mind The Gap Nica

We love this place. The three owners of the place Morgan, Diego and Sam are super friendly and help you with everything you need. They just started their business at a place where is usually only possible to get a place for about 80$ and more. Currently they are still expanding in order to fit more people. For the two surf breaks you have to walk a little but it is worth it. One star less just because it is not finished yet.

April 17th, 2016 Rancho Esperanza

It is a nice place but you can feel that the owner has finished with this business (Place is for sale). Lisa the manager was really friendly and helped with everything we needed. Definitely a nice stop.

April 1st, 2016 S.C. Autoservices

We passed by because we had a problem with our clutch. Didn't have it fixed there because we lacked time. Seemed to be a really good mechanic with new tools etc.
