February 23rd, 2019 Walmart

at the entrance of the parking lot, there is a sign that says "no tractor trailer parking". I was wondering about this sign, so I wanted to go the the customer service. At the customer service there was another big red sign, that says "no overnight parking at all"- so I didn't slept here as well....

February 23rd, 2019 Mill Stone Landing, Hardeeville

two big parking lots. I think, that the right parking lot is only reserved for the marina rescue, so I stayed at the left one. there are no facilities. stayed for one night from Saturday to Sunday. at the Saturday evening it wasn't to bad, maybe around ten boat trailer and some people. on Sunday morning at 6:30am it's getting really busy, they also parked at the grassy area between the parking lots. but anyway, I had a quiet night, and nobody borderd me. maybe the best option here around Savannah. I tried it before at 3 Walmarts, and they send me all away- so I stayed here, and I was lucky about it....

February 23rd, 2019 Walmart

arrived at 4pm. Because I didn't saw any other campers I ask at the customer service and they called the manager. He said me, that he don't care about if any body stay at his parking lot overnight. but the city law says No! so if a police car comes and catch me, he is not responsible. So I didn't slept here....

February 22nd, 2019 West Tower Campsite Osceola NF

nice day using area where you can have a picnic and can take a swimm. there is also a bathroom in the disabled washroom with hot showers. the dayusing fee is 3$ self registration. but there is a permanent host, that takes control. I came only for showers....

February 21st, 2019 East tower camp Osceola NF

primitive camp in the Osceola NF. it's only a big flat grassy area, and some places under the trees. there are only bin's- not toilet or other facilities. very quiet

February 21st, 2019 17 mile campground

nice campground with nearly nothing, except bin's. there are around 14 site's all far away from together. when I stayed her, nobody else was here. the terrain is a bit swampy, and the roads are a bit narrow. but I think, a 24ft motorhome can also fit here. with my Ford E150 van I was very fine.

February 19th, 2019 Copp Camp Osceola National Forest

That is the first really nice and free place that I visited in Florida since the last 3 weeks! Lot of space, no designed sites (just stay wherever you want), minimum 10 brand new portable toilets and bins. There is a post that's proposed to get a fee from 10$ (at February 2018) but it's still for free! The only bad thing here, is the noise from the I10- but the running generators are louder :-(.....
after two days, there came some guy's that collect the toilets and moved them away and didn't replaced them. so I decided to go to the 17Mile Camp. this is much quieter and you have more privacy.

February 11th, 2019 Picayune state forest

it's now my second time here. it's a very nice and quiet campground for all kind of rigs. the access is very complicated. you have to drive a 15 miles detour, that you come to this place, but it's worth. as described it's a big, flat, grassy area with some trees- so not many shade from the sun. there are portable toilets and some water tap with non drinking water. most sits have an picnic table and there are some BBQ.
it's still 10$. if you want, you can make a reservation for 6 of these sites- but you have to pay an reservation fee of 4$. but the campground host telling me, that it isn't necessary- he will find a place....

February 8th, 2019 Everglades - Long Pine Key campground

Nice campground in the pine Forrest. There are buildings with flushing toilets, and seperat buildings with solar heated showers. On some evening there are ranger programs at the amphitheater. There is also a dumpstation.
20$ per night, 18$ with annual pass

February 4th, 2019 Miccosukee Resort & Gaming

not bad.... for me it was the same experience than Walmart. the trailer let run her generators during the night, car's with big exhauster and loud music drive around and the trucks starting at 6am.
the registration is pretty easy. just go to the security counter right beside the cashier, show the driver's license and fill out a form. in the casino you have clean toilets and a cheap buffet. And it is a nice hub to come in each direction :-)
on the registration paper is a set that's says, that only self contained vehicle can stay here- but I didn't think, that this is so much enforced.

edit February 10th:
as I wanna register my van the second time at the security counter, the security officer ask me what for a kind of RV I have. I told him , that I have an converted Ford E150 Campervan (self-contained). he told me then, that I didn't get an permit because it's only for trucks, big RV and trailer. so I had to search an other place to sleep.

February 3rd, 2019 Middleton's Fish CampPark

what for a f... great spot! you camp on the side from a small pond/River on an dead end road. there you have no protection from the sun, so it could be maybe hot in summertime. near the boat ramp at the day using area you could find picnic tables and BBQ. On your side you can sit in your chair and watch the wildlife cinema just few feet away. lot of alligators, birds, turtle, otters and fishes. beside the boat ramp you have an 24/7 open washroom with showers. and that's for 5$ per person. I didn't see any signs, that forbidden big RV's. but it's for sure nicer without because it's only a "camp". because of the wildlife I stayed one night longer. you also can take a airboat tour, just ask at the shop. it's very quiet at night, except the frogs a bit.... I will definitely stay here again on may way back from the key's.
edit February 12th:
I wanna stay one night here again, but the owner telling me today that it must be 30 days between each stays. so he sent me away! no exceptions! that was definitely a bad experience.

February 1st, 2019 Moss Park

Big campground with 54 sites and additional family campground and group campground. Each side comes with picnic table, BBQ, fireplace, water and Power. The washrooms and showers are very spacious and clean. They also have a dumpstation. Pets and alcohol are not permitted at the campground. When you come, you get 4 papers of restrictions :-(.
Make sure, that you come early at the first day. There is a gate that close at the same time like the Park. Summer opening from 8am til 8pm, Winter opening from 8am til 6pm. The only sad thing here, is the airport nearby. You are in 20 minutes at the airport. Do you hear all the time the planes starting at landing. But usually I had a quiet night.
if you want, you can also hike a lot of trails. Walmart and Publix are 15 minutes away.

January 29th, 2019 Stuart Beach Park

two pig parking lots, with no signs, that overnight parking is prohibited. there is one big building an one small building behind, with flushing toilets- but closed at night. The parking lot has regularly parking spaces, so maybe not a good thing for big rigs. behind the second parking lot are picnic shelter's and a small playground. the place is also highly recommend by surfer's. nobody borderd me, would stay here again

January 28th, 2019 Flamingo campground

stayed here for one night. it's a big campground with over 200 places, the T-circle has Powered sites. there could be more sites, but the B and C circle was closed- looks like forever...
the showers are solaroperating, so make sure, that you take your shower at daytime or early evening. at my time the check in was operating from 9am to 5pm. after that you can make a self check in.
quiet at night, because generators are prohibited from 8pm to 8am :-)

January 17th, 2019 Bethel Trailhead

I slept also one night outside the gate due the Gouvernement Shutdown. if the place is open, there are for sure enough level place for small and bigger RV's. it is a very nice place to stay. the pit toilet was open- not in a good condition, but usable. had a quiet night.
