January 26th, 2017 Hotel Mercury

Nice hotel for S/40 for a single. Close to University so street food and local restaurants are good and cheap. Moto parking available and a priority as they had a guest most his car so that I'd have room. Hot water, slow wifi, comfortable bed, only 1 outlet in room, American plug.

January 14th, 2017 Hostal Celendin

Shut off wifi, but parked motos in courtyard. Wife one price, husband other. After some discussion wife's price won. It helped when we started to reload the motos.

January 12th, 2017 Hostal Mirador

Clean, good parking, fair wifi, carmera out front and in garage, 70 Sol for two beds. Large rooms, flat screen, good cable.

January 8th, 2017 Hostal Alternative

Clean, welcoming, moto parking in garage around side of building. A little loud when the guest are competing to talk. Laundry service available. An good eatery is just outside the door, but not affiliated with hostal.

October 22nd, 2016 El Florido, Chiquimula, Guatemala to Copan Ruinas, Honduras

Easy for a non-speaking spanish person. First I talked to the money exchanger to get the rate. Just what it is listed as a few days ago. I tell him as soon as I am done exiting Guatemala I'll be right back. Exported my moto from GMT, than myself. He still diligant next to my moto waiting for me. Nice and secure.

Then into Honduras. First me, 70L and then my moto, 748L. Lot of dupilcate paperwork. Receipts for both transactions. I thought the 748L was high, but the USD is strong at least to the presidentual election. No lines at anytime. 1 hour 3 minutes well spent.

October 1st, 2016 Rossco Hostel

First rate. Plenty of room for your moto. very nice people and the little girl is adorable.

September 30th, 2016 Hotel Tehuantepec

It was great! I road my moto through the lobby and parked it right in front of my room. The room was clean, had a great ceiling fan and comfortable.

September 17th, 2016 La Pastora

Tent camped here 17 Sept 2016. Was wonderful. Surfers came out about an hour before sunset and just before sun rise. Everyone was so nice. Also during that day a local family invited me for the fish lunch even though I do not speak Spanish. Love Mexico!

September 7th, 2016 Baca Campground

Quiet the weekend we went. Large, open field with scattered, mature trees. Many loose stone fire rings scattered about. It looks like it is really popular for groups to meet up in nice weather and hang out around a fire. As advertised on the forest service website, there are no water sources, tables or metal fire rings. Two dual-sided (male/female) vault toilets. There are ranches nearby, so expect some traffic on the dirt road. The road is better maintained than other forest service roads; that's probably because of the ranches.

BEST OF ALL: FREE

May 29th, 2016 Royal Gorge Park Campground

Nice campground. More to tents and car camping. Get there early as it fills up fast.

May 28th, 2016 Mesa verde Nationalpark (outside In BLM)

Great site. Wood to burn. Bring water to put out fire.
