Sort of an unsuspecting resturant on a dock over the water. Doesnt look like much, but its fairly cheap(180L for fish plate and many less expensive items) and the food is fantastic. They serve up what they catch and have an extensive menu beyond that. Fish soup is a hangover favorite. Homemade hotsauce is amazing as well.

June 13th, 2018 Cric Cric Burgers

Solid burger joint on the waterfront in la ceiba. around 130L-170L for a tasty burger, fries, and a drink.

March 3rd, 2018 Camping Playa Roca

Morw of a spot for tenting like mentioned in the previous post, there was one flat spot to park the truck but it was right next to the busy road... sweet spot though, just not the vibe we were looking for at the moment. It probably doesn't help that its March so spring break is kicking off....maybe this would have been a better option in different months. We headed north to Chamicos about 15 minute north of tulum you can find it on ioverlander...much more chill and less people. Plenty of spots for our rig, right on the water.

March 2nd, 2018 Plaza Bacalar

Slept here one night with no issue, other RVers were with us. Quiet (even on a friday) and we felt totally safe.

March 1st, 2018 Cocalitos Bacalar

Not a bad place to be, we didnt want to stay more than one night but it was pefect for what we needed out of it. Great being able to jump into the lale first thing in the morning before it got crowded and the music started. Would stay here again.

February 27th, 2018 Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary

Camped in the park, we have a truck we sleep in so we just parked in the parking lot but some cool spots for pitching a tent! Tons of awesome hikes in the area, would stay here again. Do Tiger Fern early in the morning, we didnt see anyone on the trail until 11am. We had both pools and waterfalls completely to ourselves! Nice bathrooms and cold showers which are refreshing in the hot weather. 20bz pp to camp....

February 25th, 2018 Public parking lot

Free: just a basic parking lot... no facilities we slept here for two nights and nobody bothered us and we felt perfectly safe the entire time.

February 17th, 2018 Sittee River Marina and Curve Bar

Camped here before heading to Glovers Island. The restaurant is closed on Sarurdays so it was really quiet here. The wifi from the restaurant works great and we were able to sit inside and use it even though it was closed. Two security guards overnight with guns, really nice guys though and were super friendly and upfront about the overnight security. When we got there the daytime security tried to charge us 35bz when we got there so watch out for that... should be 25bz... 35bz is if you need electricty. Cold showers with good pressure, we got eaten alive as soon as the sun went down. Bring bugspray.
