Max is a LandRover Garage old school. when I cruised up there to get my brakes looked at he is there rebuilding a series from scratch. Good place for Defender drivers needing help.

beautiful small campsite with currently shower and toilettes. everything brand new (built 2018). there will be a dishwasshing and cooking are coming. hammocks, commonroom. very safe.

the gravel pit is quite exposed... the gate not accepted and not nice anyway so we drove here. a little Pearl! nicely tucked away in what looks like a mini crator. about 50m in diameter round plat piece. from the road lovely views down the mountain. most quite night in a long time. not a sound. none. beware 3200m above sea. we had 8°C at night. 20 in the daytime.

stayed nicely protected in front of what looks like the town office. abandoned but still lokking reall good. no stray dogs, no nothing. just peace and quiet

Lovely owner, super friendly and helpful. great Wifi. Nice rooms, clean and well maintained. Also have safe parking Garage (my Defender is 2.5m high and just fits). Highly recommended.

great place by the lake. volcanic beach. two rivers flow in on ether side. to access you have to drive into S-895 (away from lake) off the main road and then after some 50m turn steep left down towards the river. follow the river down to the lake. big rigs can definately reach the last "parking" before the lakefront. locals down here with normal cars. but i would advise 4x4 for beach access. see pics as well. enjoy!

coming from chile getting late due tol ong border crossing. right before the guardrail of the bridge starts you turn of right and drive right down to the river

on our way from Brazil through Bolivia on the way to Santa Crutz we were a bit late and did not want to drive to the closest iOverlander spot so we found this miniroad going off the main route and followed it to the creek. here is a smaller clearing. no one around, jungle all around you and plenty of moskitos and krikets. great for a sleepover but nothing else. 4x4 reccomended to get here.

fabulous wild camp in the middle of nowwhere in the pantanal. lots of wild animals including crocodiles seen on the way here. had a great swim in the river where we actually saw a crocodile swim by some hour later. later at night there where more crocodiles and very much moscitos. bug hey... nature at its best.

store with very few essentials, some pool tables oitside and some garden furniture and what looks like a big bbq where they grill but currently nothing going on. Guy in the store was nice enough to let us sleep in the parking lot when we arrived after sundown. you van swim in the river and use his bathroom.

the adress is somewhat wrong. we went to the main Allianz office building and there they gave us the adress Roque Sáenz Peña 651 3rd floor office 56. Speisser insurance. there a German and English speaking lady helped us. 2 Land Rover Defenders 6 months Argentina and all bordering countries for 460USD. we were walk in clients and got an insurance in 1h. paid cash. very nice

Neat and clean truck stop like gas station. Friendly at the little shop. WiFi encrypted now but they give you the password. Free shower and toilets that are clean. Nothing flashy but absolutely great as a stop on the way.
