November 16th, 2019 Overlander Beach Campsite “Don Taco”.

TRULY a stand out amongst the many hostels/beach camps in Mexico. Frans and his wife are experienced, worldwide travelers with a big heart. Expect a tidy, clean, quiet campsite with ample space and be ready to connect with other worldwide overlanders passing through! Frans will take you fishing or recommend local mechanics/welders/resources in the area for overlanders as he’s well connected and loved by the locals . His welder was amazing that built my rear propane tAnk mount on my rig. Enjoy the dreamlike bathrooms, wifi, tables, fishing, electricity, on site water, and good vives! I love that its gated and the community feels safe and peaceful

August 17th, 2019 Cerritos Resort

Met up with overlander friend here that was allowed an exception to the “no tent camping here external policy” since it seems to be primarily an RV/mobile home community for many friendly gringos. Only Few spots to vehicle camp. Stayed 5days near the pool grass area with 3min walk to the beach and next to an oxxo. Laundry room/showers/clean bathrooms and good wifi near the office. They didn’t seem to have a problem with us working mechanically on our trucks there, but we did make the effort to maintain good friendly communication with staff daily. Felt super safe as its closed off entrance is guarded 24hrs a day

August 10th, 2019 Parking lot Calle Rangel

Seems to be an open community parking lot for the local businesses/residents. Stayed here for almost a few weeks. Never hanging out there only pulling up at midnight to sleep and drive off early morning. Lots of cars park here for work around 7am. I found nesting near the bushy trees in the back corner was a sweet spot. Felt safe as i made it a point not to ever boon dock there and only use as a sleeping place. Was a bit hot around this time. Great stealth spot as you blend in with all the other vehicles. Also a water “purificadora” direct ly across the street next to the peace hostel to fill up your water jugs, about 10 pesos to fill up 6gallon jug.

July 17th, 2019 quiet camp not far from highway

perfect wild spot, near the 1 but far eenough to be quiet and stealth. road was moderate about 3-5 min drive to the fire pit. look for the level flat area on your left with pit in the center

July 15th, 2019 hôtel mision santa maria

ate a few veggie tacos for 130 pesos, used wifi in restaurant, friendly staff okay with parking overnight. beautiful clean hotel. it got dark on me when pulling up so i recommend getting here earlier as it was a pretty dark road in.

June 14th, 2019 Ensenada

Came in at 11 pm, Parked alongside another overland vehicle. Street was surprisingly quiet and clean. Park under /near the bright light. It feels like a dead end but theres a street that follows through the bend. Felt pretty safe. But i still chose to leave pretty early.

June 13th, 2019 Ensenada mall

On a weds it was empty. “orlando” was nice , paid 200 pesos (12$). Bathrooms were not too bad. Beautiful view. Orlando said Park closer to the bathrooms and his office and its a lil safer. Also he recommends dont leave valuables in your car.
