Pool closed equals free showers! Amazing in the snow storm!

March 17th, 2020 Camp 4

Stayed 2 nights in a snow storm. Great little place! We can imagine it is very alive during summer.

March 15th, 2020 Wowana Hotel Shower

The hotel seemed closed when we where there mid-march.

March 15th, 2020 Goat Meadow Snow Play Area

Very nice secluded place! Just check the weather before, if there is a snowstorm coming they might close the road. We would still be stuck there if a ranger didn't wake us up in the morning to tell us 🙃

March 14th, 2020 Azalea Campground

Quiet in the winter, most of the loops are closed. 10$ a night, with a warning that you might get stuck if it snows because it has a "low plowing priority ".

March 13th, 2020 Lake overlook 2

Not perfectly level, but the closest we found to the park!

March 12th, 2020 Potwisha

Nice little campground! First come first served.
Most sites are not level.

March 12th, 2020 Parking lot for the Skyline Trail

We stopped but did not stay. The parking lot is not on blm land and you kinda are in peoples backyards.

March 11th, 2020 East Walker Ranch

Easy to find, quiet! We were alone. Some cars passing by at night

March 11th, 2020 Rest Area.

Come see seals and sea lions, or swim.
Free parking, showers and bathrooms.

February 29th, 2020 BLM Shooting Range outside Pahrump

We also stayed on a Friday night. The shooting started at 4am the next day, in the dark. Didn't feel safe at all.
Also, trash everywhere.

As Canadians too, we were not impressed.

February 28th, 2020 Hollywood Acquatic Center

Great place! 3$ for each adult. You have to be using the pool to access the showers, so just directly ask to use the pool.

February 28th, 2020 Govt Wash Road

We got on this road and drove a bit further after following our GPS. It was great! Not that much trash.

February 28th, 2020 Vegas - Fashion Mall Parking

We left our car there while walking down the strip. Felt safe!

February 27th, 2020 Hualapai Peak Ranch BLM

Impossible to go further than the first 3-4 spots if you don't have good clearance.

The place is okay? Some people seem to live here permanently. Gunshots in the distance all evening.

February 26th, 2020 BLM by South Rim

Pulled in the first spot. You can hear the road, but not many cars at night.

February 22nd, 2020 Bright Angel Campground

Official backcountry campground of the park at the bottom of the canyon. You have to walk to there, obviously. The hike is around 12 km with ~1500m of elevation (going down!).
Sites are usually full, and you have to get a permit at the backcountry office. We were there in February and were able to get 2 nights without being on the waiting list.
There is a lodge next to it that offers pricy snacks and drinks, and basic stuff if you really need it!
There is a power outlet in the bathroom to charge your phone, but no phone reception.

February 21st, 2020 Kaibab National Forest

Perfect place near Grand Canyon. Can be muddy when wet. Please pack out your trash, even your piss/poop paper.

February 17th, 2020 Walker Road Dispersed Camping area

About 11 campsites in the woods. So quiet! Road is bumpy but we made it with 2wd.

February 16th, 2020 All Star Laundromat

Clean, bathrooms, free wifi.
3.50 for a small load, 25 cent/5 minutes for dryer.

February 16th, 2020 Badger Springs Trailhead

If you take the gravel road off the highway, after the big lot, you get nicer spots.
First : Parking near a pit toilet.
Second : Parking at the actual trailhead. It is a nice little hike btw. You could probably cool down in the water in the summer.
Third : After the trailhead there is another dirt road that gets you to nicer spots with fire rings.

February 15th, 2020 Saguaro Spot

Plenty of spots along the dirt road. Be nice to the flora/fauna and pick up your trash. We found a lizard in an old beer can.

February 13th, 2020 Agua Blanca Ranch BLM

Slept very well ! Fiew other campers.
Please RV people, turn your generator off at night!
