July 29th, 2016 Good Tire

We needed new tires for our doge ram truck. Very fast, friendly and professional service. Only 5% taxes as it is in the province alberta!

July 26th, 2016 Skyline Lake Campground

Beautiful spot at a small lake. Nothing around and very quite, Primitive campsite with 4 sites with picknick table and fire ring, pit toilet, last km to the site is a rough forest road, 4wheel not necessary but high clearance, we made it with our truck camper with 4x4 without problems, many mosquitos!

June 30th, 2016 Turn Out

June 28th, 2016 Turn Out

Turn out on a country street. Near Dillon Beach. Road is very quite during night. No sign that parking overnight is prohibited.

May 22nd, 2016 Rancho Santa Ynez

Good place for a stopover. Paid 100 pesos per car. Felt safe and was quite. The restroom is a bit gross... When you walk north west you will find a small path which leads into the desert. Breathtaking area with many rocks and cactus to discover. Good for a walk with your dog just watch out for the nasty spines!

May 21st, 2016 Campo Archelon Baja-Bahia de Los Angeles

Nice place. 8$ per person for camping by the beach with palapa. No electrity and no potable water. Showers cold but clean. If you travelling with a dog be careful at the beach. It has bullseye puffer and they are very poisonous. Our dog was very very lucky and survived it as she ate one!

April 13th, 2016 Arroyo Seco: Long Beach & Playa Chica

We camped two nights at long beach next to a palapa. Great empty beach with some run down houses along the beach. Free and we felt very safe. A point break to surf and no crowds.

March 21st, 2016 Tapiceria - Upholster

We needed new pillows for our camper. Orlando did a great job and the price was good.

March 4th, 2016 Villa Patzcuaro Hotel and RV Park

Great place. Paid 240 for two people in a truck camper. Hot showers. Wifi was very slow. Big grassy field so good with a dog.

March 1st, 2016 CocoAventura

150 pesos per night/person. Big grassy area directly at a long, empty beach. Great to walk your dog.

February 25th, 2016 Cenote Choj Ha. MUST SEE CENOTE!

Great cenote run by a very friendly local family. A bit pricy. Paid 100 pesos per person to stay overnigth and 75 pesos entry fee per person. But restrooms are very clean and also the area around the cenote. Great with the dog to walk around.

February 22nd, 2016 Z Gas Playa Del Carmen

We filled our 20lbs bbq bottle here. 156.80 pesos per bottle.

February 17th, 2016 El Ceibo, Tabasco, Mexico to El Ceibo, El Peten, Guatemala

We crossed from guatemala into mexico. Very quite. At the border to mexico they check your rig for food. Eggs, beans, seeds, lentis, dog food, rice, meat (all kind) and fruits are not allowed. Maybe even more. To be on the safe side bring as less food as possible with you. We did hide almost all our food and were lucky that the dogs did not smell it:)Since 2016 the permit for mexico is around 60$. If you want to open a new business, it has no copy shop on the mexico side and the guy from the aduana needed a copy of our visa! So instead of walking back to the guatemala we asked the lady who did all the paperwork for our dog.

February 15th, 2016 Jaguar Inn

We did not sleep here as dogs are not allowed, not even in the parking area. Anyway we visit for one day and were hiding our dog in our truckcamper:)

February 13th, 2016 Fruit Control

Fruit control. They checked our fruits. We only had to give away our oranges. Bananas, appels and lemones were ok.

February 13th, 2016 Ixpanpajul Nature Park

We agree with the comments before. A great spot to camp. Also perfect with a dog as you can walk around the big property. Watch out for the ticks. After walking in the small forest by the camping area we all had hunderts of tiny ticks. We just had a bad timing for our first night (saturday). A group of teenagers camped here and had pritty loud music till the morning. No wifi but at few spots you get a phone signal.

February 12th, 2016 Hotel bombil pek

Good spot for the night. If you park near the restraunt you get wifi signal. First they asked for 125 gzt for two with showers. Paid 70 Gzt without shower in the end. In the morning before we left they gave us a key for the shower. No charge anymore:) It has a big grassy field in the back where the dog can run around like crazy. So very dog friendly.

February 11th, 2016 Parqueo

Parking on a grassy field just above the river by a local family. Just right after the bridge on the left. Short walk (5 min) to semuc champey. No facilities. They have about 4 dogs who barked every time we came back with our dog but no problem at all. It was a bit quieter than by the entry. Paied 40 gtz for two per night. The road to get here is a bit a pain in the ass but it's worth it. We drove down with a truck camper with 4x4 drive. It was dry and the road was in a good condition.

February 11th, 2016 El Recreo

Paid 50 gtz per person/night. Quiet place and in walking distance to the caves. No wifi as the modem was broken. Just fine for a night or two and perfect with our dog as lot of space.

February 9th, 2016 Hacienda Ecologica Rio Escondido

A nice mountain hotel with different cabinas by a small river. The camping area is in the back on a grassy field a bit away from the road, so almost no noise. 40 gtz per person/night. It has a restroom and outdoor shower with cold water. You can cross the river over a small bridge and you can discover the forest. Perfect to walk your dog! If you get here in februray as we are now, bring a good sleeping bag. It is cold, brrrr.

February 8th, 2016 El Florido, Chiquimula, Guatemala to Copan Ruinas, Honduras

We crossed from honduras to guatemala on a monday. Very relaxed crossing with friendly staff. They told us that it is normally busy from tuesday to friday. For the car we paid 160 getalez. No other costs.

February 7th, 2016 Texaco Copan

They told us that is not possible anymore to stay there overnight. Across the street it has a place which is ok for 1 night.

February 2nd, 2016 Taller La Volkswagen

Very good mechanic. We had to replace our brake plates and needed a new waterpump. Very fast and good work for a good price. Victor is the owner. They fix all kind of cars, we have a doge ram.

January 21st, 2016 Fire Station Granada

Good location to discover granada by foot. A parking lot, a bit dirty and you should have your own toilett. The one it has is very bad!!! Paid N200 for one night. Easy to get there and to park for big rigs. Dogs are allowed.

January 17th, 2016 Cafe con leche

Great place to stay. Paid 10$ per car with electricity and water. Very clean showers/bathrooms. Nice area to relax and to enjoy live:) three lovley dogs and they were very friendly to our dog. It is a bit tricky for big rigs to get into the property (tree in front of the gate) We just fit in and we are 12 feet high. Only thing missing was shade. As the hotel is new all the plants and threes are still small.

January 11th, 2016 Super Maya

You can bring your 20lb bottle to the Super Maya in Cobano. They need one week to fill the bottle as a truck will bring it to the next big city. Paid about 9$.

December 24th, 2015 Camping Elimar

Top place to stay. We were there between christmas and new year. It was busy but still very quite. We parked near the washrooms and had wifi at the spot. Washroom/toilets were clean. It also has a kitchen but we did not use it. The tide pools are awesome!

December 22nd, 2015 Finca Las Pumas!!!

Good place for one night. Owners are very friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good (try the cordon bleu). We could even try some christmas cookies (zimtsternen & chraebeli - typical swiss cookies). Clean toilets and an outdoor shower. Cons: sites (parking area of the restaurant) are directly at the main street so it is a bit noisy. We paid 10$ per car as we had dinner at the restaurant. If you do not drink or eat anything it is 10$ per person.

December 21st, 2015 Restaurante Doña Julio

Great place and for free! Owner is super friendly. Big grassy area to park and to let your dog run around. Bring your warm sleeping bag. We loved the fresh breez up there!
