A fantastic campsite, as this area is wonderful for game viewing as they have an excellent waterhole supplied by solar powered pumps.
The pans themselves are big rig friendly as long as it is dry, in the wet season heavy vehicles will get stuck! Please note that the road South, to Xade, is very over-grown and not at all big rig friendly; in fact normal vehicles are also scraping past all the trees.
One should really avoid this route, as the road is not traveled often, and if you had a breakdown, you could be stranded for several days.

Very nice downtown. This seems to literally be the only option for tenting / vehicle camping ( we asked around and asked other hotels )

We were the only ones there, and it seemed like there hasn’t been anyone there in a long time...

The matriarch of the family speaks great English! And answered all of our questions. The son and mom (matriarch) were both very nice. Cost 150 pesos per person (vehicle camping) for a 24hr period of time ( no matter when you get there ).

We did not use the showers so not sure about hot water, bathrooms were relatively clean. They sell firewood if you would like it 50 pesos for a bundle. Beautiful mountain views , extremely peaceful evening.

( horses ran by our van in the middle of night which was a surprising noise to wake up to )

This place was a pleasant surprise! We paid 250p total for our van and two people. This didn’t include a visit to the onsite xenotransplantation. WiFi was not free. It was a beautiful place and we would definitely come back!

This is a destock supermarket, so cheaper than the others but they also don't have everything. For example they didn't sell coffee or yoghurts when we were there. Also it's only interesting if you buy big quantities, otherwise it's not cheaper

entrance is now 30 pesos, which is basically nothing. same comment as before, very informative and friendly guy, I spent 1h30 there chatting to him about the history of the place and of Argentina's current situation etc. definitely worth a visit.

in reality it is not alloud to stay here. we slept there one night and at the next day a military guy knock at our door. he told us very angry that this place is military area and what the hell are we doing here. if you don't want to have problems with the militar you should look for an other spot.

This place was once very nice but there are no more hot showers and we had no encounter with the mentioned nice people. Only the lady at the reception which collected the fee (300 pesos) and denied the key for the gate.
Though the town is very nice and in walking distance.

Looked like a nice place but really only space for one big rig, and we are only 7.4m long. When we arrived, there was a local already parked in the middle of the space and there was no room for us to park let alone turn around, we had to back out. Word of advice for other big rigs, walk in and check for other vehicles before driving in.

Wide parking places all around the square, though not close to level and there was a lot of traffic. After driving around town, we found a new unpaved road behind the health center that was wide enough for a big rig to park, good views and less traffic than around the square. Spent a quiet night there.

It is a very nice place and we had it for us, but at night we had to change the place, because of hard rain with a lot of thunder and lightning around us. And it is really an exposed location without protection. A few meters continue there is a place on the mountain wall.

On the cliff above Sea Lion Cove. The road down here is high clearance 4x4. The road to Sea Lion Cove requires 4x4 with the ability to gun it uphill. We did not try it with our truck camper. Stunning views but not remote as there were many visits by local families enjoying the beach, in trucks, foot and quads on a Monday. Saw whales, dolphins and sea lions.

Came back a on our return trip north. Still the best fish taco in Baja! Arguably the best taco. If you are a Pepsi fan, they have diet and regular, a treat in Mexico! Enjoy!

This place is awesome. Friendly and fast! Walked in at 3 and picked up laundry at 5:30. Might be pricey but clean clothes and sheets are worth it.

We called Doña Martina, as we saw her phone number on the app, to ask her if we can spend the night at her place. She was extremely kind and happy to help. This warm-hearted woman lives and works by herself in her nice restaurant (closed at night) and is really happy to get some company. She has bathroom and 2 showers under construction. She was kind enough to wait for our arrival and parked us behind her house where no one can see you. .We were also welcomed by kind dogs, chickens and geese. Yes it is close from the highway but the traffic at night is not that bad and we felt really safe. We even stayed with her the day after where she cooked for us, showed us her beautiful garden and taught us lots of knowledge on plants, trees and fruits. She never asked for any money but we gave her a kind amount as we received so much from her.
Also if you feel like staying with her for a while she really needs help around as she takes care of everything by herself, of course this is not the glamorous place in the world but the love and wisdom you will receive in exchange is priceless ! One of these meeting you will never forget !

Best camping yet. Yes,
400 per person (no idea how someone 15 days before me paid 180...). Really clean bathrooms. Hot and cold showers(we had 37 deg, cold was nice). Clean pool. WiFi worked great in common room. Dudes working here incredibly friendly, even offered us his bus ticket.
Take the bus and tram to Maipu and do the Lopez winery before you do any other. Best service of them all. Then hit up Argentia, Giol was nice but kinda sad. Also going on your own, much much less people than booking a bus tour, those were crowded.

Armand is a good mechanic, very knowledgeable and professional. Changed the oil and checked the brakes of my bus here. The mechanics were very careful and attentive. The service was quick and thorough, very reasonably priced as well.

Ay La Fábrica campground you will find the care taker Edwin and his lovely family. Edwin and a friend are mechanics and they diagnosed our spark plug problem, bought us new ones in San Salvador, and changed them for us (right at the campsite). He helped a friend with breaks, oil changes, and general maintenance as well. Because he is a mechanic and does a lot of work he is able to get high quality products at reduced prices. It’s hard to find the entrance because there is no sign but look for a yellow gate on the left before a sign for Rocka Sunzal and Blu Resort. +503-77512852 is his number if you want to reach out but we highly highly recommend his services!

Do not bother to come here. We called in for happy hour to have a Pisco Sour, they were blended not shaken and they charged 35 Soles for two. No water in the bathroom to flush or wash!

We've slept here with a tent. Staff pretty friendly. The floor is out of stones, no grass to put tent. We slept by the river, and were surrounded by frogs during the night. Hot shower for 60p only till 23h. Was a good place for a sleepover during the travel

3000 Kwanza for a double room for one night.

Plenty of secure parking inside. There is a bar onsite but no food served.

We visited on a 'puente' and the beach was packed with people tailgating so we opted to camp on the other side of the dunes back from the beach. There were a few young guys ripping around on motorbikes who were friendly and took off before dark. Seems like everyone else cleared out around that time too and we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet and peaceful (also less trash on the road side of the dunes)
