We stayed with this nice family and felt welcome. We enjoyed the calm nicht and the delicious milk products. Even if you do not stay for the night , we can definitely recommend to pass by the shop and get some cheese or Joghurt. It's open every day.

Nice place.
We were here together with 200 Thai cycling fanatics. Apparently they were having their yearly meeting. Lovely people.

Place is quiet (even with so many people) and large enough to find your own little spot.

Only paid 30bht per person for the camping. (one normal car, two persons and one tent)
Did not had to pay park entrance fee.

Food was a bit pricy and quality is OK.

Suitable for all kinds of campervans and even bigger rigs.

Some of the YPFB fuel stations in this end of Cochabamba only had GNV. This place has diesel and gasoline as well, at international price.

Camping at Playa Palmarito with its miles of great beach and a turtle hatchery. You can camp at their parking lot with ocean view or go 0,5 mi east where you find a palapa and a parking lot. There seems to be the building of houses or hotels in progress, so the road you take from the main road looks like to enter a resort which is very slow going in the region. In the night we patrolled the beach but did not see a turtle. Main turtle nesting season is from August to November.

Really nic place, small rocky beach with parking for 3-4 cars. Used for small boats to get to the water. There was no gate but there are some gates to private properties. The last part of the road leading to beach is really tiny and it could be not easy to find it in dark.

Agree with the previous comment. Also note, there is a Deception Camp 5 & 6 in the same area (not on iOverlander). Plenty of space/privacy between each site. All sites we saw had plenty of shade to park/place tent.

I don’t believe the park staff regularly maintain the sites- please take with you everything you bring in. We found bags of rubbish at the site when we arrived :(

30 pula pppn
50 pula for vehicle/per day
120 pp entry/per day

Would highly recommend.

We spent one night there sleeping in our car. Perfect place to stay if you want to start early with the trekking. There are bathrooms, a little shop and a cafeteria in the welcoming center. Wifi available but not for free. You can also take a shower in the camping nearby (Fantastico Sur) for 3’000 CLP pro person. We didn’t have to pay for the camping spot. Nobody ask us for paying.

This is a tiny, family owned taco restaurant specializing in Al Pastor, Birria, and Carne Asada. The place looks a little run down, but the tacos are delicious. They fry the tortillas in the grease from the carne so they are a little crunchy and they are of course served with homemade salsas, onions, tomatoes and cilantro.
Braden got NINE Tacos Al Pastor and I had 2 Birria and 2 Carne Asada. All were awesome. My favorite was the Birria. They're served a little larger and crunchier. The Al Pastor are a close second.
The family is friendly and hilarious. We came back a WEEK after our first visit for more because we had to pass through Los Mochis anyway. Prices are also very agreeable. Their Al Pastor promotion is 3 tacos for 39 pesos, and I think the others were 20 pesos per taco but who's counting?
Enjoy!

Official trekkings of this nice valley are managed by a nice family (la señora Julia). Actually you can’t go by yourself, the only way to visit the valley is to go with them with a one day tour or two days tour where you can appreciate a nice walk in the mountains and see condores (depending on how lucky you are they can be far or close). The finca and garden of Julia is really really beautiful, they are welcoming and provide accommodation and food if you need.

Great beach for surfers. Lots of campers, tents on the beach plus parking lot full of vans and RV's . It was a Saturday night so lots of parties and music. Road from the north is washboard almost all the way and from the south has many washed out areas, take it slow and don't drive after dark and you'll be fine. No cell service.

Not a touristy place but have good mezcal for a great price. 300 pesos for 1 liter. They have a range of mezcals from Joven to 8 wild varieties of agave. Our favorites were Cuishe and Pechuga.

We seachered for a workshop to fix a problem with our Defender 110. Most Land Rover workshops in Ankara can't fix Defenders, so after 3 different stops we have been send here. Many Defenders allready stood here. As we had a little problem with the brakes, they fixed it very fast. They had been very friendly and did a great job. I can't say something about the prices because they didn't charged us for that small repairing. Amazing! So if you have a problem with your Defender you should take a try here.

Very safe place, we asked a few locals. Very friendly people, warm and welcoming. The location is a park area with a school, church and a few homes. Noisy during the day, loud speakers advertising or religious talks not sure? Very quiet of a night time.
