Nice little Indian restaurant. In walking distance of Jungle Junction or take a boda for cheap (50-100). They serve typical Indian food like butter chicken, naan etc..Price is about 650 for a meal.

Very nice and fairly quiet stony beach. Popular enough, people come and go from 8am to 9pm. There are some properties around; it seems one of them is inhabited, and the other one in construction or renovation. We haven't been bothered on the one night we stayed there. We put our tent after sunset. Very peaceful. Not 100% flat space directly on the beach however (unless you want to work a bit the ground), but it was comfortable enough. Any camper could get there, although a 4WD would help to get right on the beach.

Decent little pull-off of the main Glenn highway, used to be another main road going through here but it is now closed off, can hike the old road or many ATV trails around

Camped here for the night on the way to Tacna. We checked in the town square if it was safe and everyone assured us it was tranquilo here. We posted up on the beach and had a wonderful night sleep with the light sound of the waves. Lovely place to wake up. There was a family camping on the beach in tents as well. Recommended.

Open space surrounded by trees. Follow the Huron Beach Road signs from the Highway. After 200 metres good maintained gravelroad follow the curve to right and then first track to your right. That track leads to this spot and loops back. Easy access for all rigs. Quiet overnight spot. We stayed for an extra night. Short walking distance to the sandy beach just on the other side of the railway. No train passed by in the weekend, but when one does you will feel it. It's a bit close. Sorry.

Lugar bastante tranquilo, algo de circulación de vehículos durante la noche. Estuve en julio fuera de temporada y era el único vehículo en 300m de calle, alguien tocó a la puerta de mi kombi a las 2am, no contesté y no pasó de eso.

Small pullout along a gravel road overlooking Mono Lake and the well known tufas. It's a bit buggy, but a decent place to park and sleep. Perfectly level spot. Big enough for one, maybe two vehicles. I would not tent camp here. 4G internet service works well.

Our expierence was a positive one, even for it being a weekend. It was definitely crowded but there are multiple pools to spread out in so its not so bad. The camping is towards the back of the property on a nice grassy field next to a covered picnic table area. It was 400L which was pricey, we tried to talk him down but he wouldn't budge. This was for sleeping and using the pools. In the morning there was no one there so we had all the pools to ourselves. They are well maintained and we thought this spot was awesome!! Worth a stop over.

This quiet park side street was the perfect location. We ended up staying for 3 days parked under a large tree. Three blocks from the southwest corner of the historical center meant it was easy to walk downtown to restaurants and attractions. It was incredibly hot until 3:00AM so we slept with our generator on. Nobody seemed to mind.

One of 53 provincial parks in the area (see picture for a map of all parks). Inkaneep has eight primitive camping sites (no hook ups) with fire bins and picnic tables. The camphost is really nice and a river is just next to the campground, although the current is too strong to swim. Besides that many vineyards and fruit stands around. 18$ per night.

Note: 2km north of here is the provincial park "vaseux lake" which is right at the water. Another km up north is a free resting area (max. stay for eight hours).

Enjoyed our stayed with Maria, Don (American) and the sweet dog Manchas.
It is better for tent camping as the further back on the property you go it’s beautiful. Hammocks, tables, landscaping. The “big” rigs and camper vans camp in parking area which can get tricky if multiple vehicles. They were very nice and made room for us.
Their area of beach is gorgeous but rocky. However you walk two minutes to soft, black sand beach.
The kitchen with cooking supplies, stovetop and fridge were really nice. The covered tables were especially nice since it rained a lot. Showers typical and cold. Internet worked well.
Potable water! They even test it.
Paid 10,000 colones per night for 2 kids, 2 adults.

They told us they were open from 9am (not sure until which time).
We were here at 8.30 so we had to wait for half an hour. This was on a Sunday.

I was cycling but the road sometimes is very bad and i couldn't reach the pass.
I found this gravel place flat and perfect for tent or car.
There is a small stream coming directly from the mountain behind.
Close to the road but very quiet apart trucks in early morning, for tent can be more hidden.
Very cold night but amazing sunrise

$12 a night or only $6 with relevant interagency pass (America the beautiful included). The pitches are rocky and most on a slight slope, the road around the site is worn dirt and bumpy with small turnarounds. Walk first if you have a large or low clearance vehicle.
Portaloos and bins along with plenty of picnic tables, bear proof storage boxes and fire pits.

This one was out of order but there are more along this road, all within big sites but are before the "fee area" so I guess they are free.
All blocked and overflowing today, please stop putting disposable gloves down the drain!
