kiwisinafrica.wordpress.com | Great spot! We stayed about 150m from here at Rolling Stones Hostel and came for breakfast. WiFi didn’t want to work for us, required a Russian phone number which we didn’t have available at the time |

kiwisinafrica.wordpress.com | Have waited 2 hours for a ferry to the island on a Saturday afternoon. The “queuing” system is typical of this country, if you have enough cash the police man and ferry workers let you on before anyone else. After a lack lustre visit to the island we decided to leave on the Sunday and have been waiting for 8 hours... again being screwed by people paying bribes. |

saskiakoning2 | Beautiful and super quiet spot. The only thing you see after 18:00 when the park is closed is cows, horses and cute dogs. We parked behind a ruin just 50 m from the entrance. The dog on the picture we adopted him just for one night. ;-) |

littlemaplines | This is great! We've checked out most of the surrounding dispersed options and this is by far the best... Seems to be plenty of space and several folks nearby; several options for quieter spots down the road it seems. |

globusgo | High clearance recommended for the road down to the beach. People pull trailers (21tf) down with trucks. Be aware of the rocks near shore. Softer than it looks. We got stuck but pulled out by a truck owner within minutes. Very busy spot on a weekend but surprisingly quiet. |

justamotoride.com | The hole is still there. however, you can take a light bike trough it or a heavy bike over the small footpath which goes around about 10m above the hole. if you want to make your life easy you can just follow the main trail about 800m downvalley, where it forks off after the farmhouse and crosses the small river. the trails hit each other further up the mountain. trail gets pretty gnarly further up and is not always easy to find. |

Follow the dirt track off the road by an abandoned bus stop and you'll come to a small gravel pit. follow the track further for another one. |

Only the Wind Knows | A flat dirt track off of the E60 dead ends here - in a forest glen where two streams meet. The area is used by locals for selective logging. We went down a different track first and there was a local guy with a horse and carriage loading logs. When we were here, this road and this spot were not being used for logging, and we saw no one. Very peaceful and beautiful. No noise except the sound of the streams. Vodafone 3G has strong signal here. Note: as we were leaving on a Sunday we passed through two unlocked, closed gates. We aren’t sure if they are sometimes locked. |
