We stayed 2 nights, no problems. Quiet, free.

Great camping just on the road to Palenque/Campeche. Paid 150 pesos for two. Electricity, pool(35 pesos), big garden, lagoon, wifi a the restaurant. The heat is better here than Palenque.

Slept here with my tent in their dirty yard. They agreed immediately that I can sleep there. Could use toilet and cold shower as well even if it wasn't really clean. Not all of them are kind of nice. Don't talk a lot 😉. But for a safe and free place good alternative to the hotels in this town.

The spot opposite the river is better, cause more quiet at night and you don’t have to leave at 8am. But still an option to overnight.

We spent a night there after driving from Rosario. We found a quiet place to park the car, near the entrance of the Hotel. Wi-fi was ok, toilets very clenead, no shower.

We spent 3 nights on this little spot, quiet during the day and night, just few meters from the bridge. Easy to get a trut for lunch and diner, good spot for fishing. Place for 2 or 3 rigs.

Good spot for a quiet night close to town. We followed the track north and turned right towards the water at some point. Secluded and quiet with minimal trash. No 4x4 required.

Official campground of the termas. Nice spots with bbq and taps at each place. Just for tents though, cars can't enter and should be placed at the parking. Cold showers and nice (not too) cold natural pools. 500 for camping (staying overnight) which we did not do here, but at the parking lot of the termas, so we could easily take a night dip in the warm pools.

We stayed overnight at the 2nd parking lot, which has toilet, shower, electricity. Paid 500 for camping & 200pp for the termas. They register your licence plate at the gate a few km's down, so probably the 500 can't be avoided by not camping at the official camping. Nice and quite spot half under a tree. Nice sunset. Much longer sun then at the camping.

Small general store, reasonable selection basic food items. Also have a cafe & possible fuel.

Great spot. Secure, quiet (Monday), breezy, friendly locals, beautiful architcutre and history. Only word of caution is the grassy area between this parking spot and the river front. I walked through this and got a nasty attack of sand flies. Turns out I'm allergic. Healing it with Gelmicin. My partner walked in the same thing with no problem. Also, we preferred this to the other iOverlander spots in town.

A place to be, a place to stay! We slept in a tent on the beach. For sun protection you can set up your tent under a palapa and now they have also self made wooden tent pegs to set up the tend on the beach! The view was amazing. You can walk along the beach, swim in the ocean or lie in a hammock. It is a safe area and additionally there is a gate and fence for safe parking. There is enough space for some bikes and some smaller RVs. Very clean flush toilets and a shower. The wlan is good.There are nice restaurants in walking distance. The owners are great, helpful and also english, dutch and german speaking. They love to welcome Overlanders!

Wow. What a great place. Trees for shade, beach access, surf, 20 minute walk to town for groceries, quiet and just beautiful. Even a trash

Not sure what road the person who posted last was driving on but this one is 45km of relentless washboard. The faster you drive the more bearable it is but make no mistake. This road has not been repaired, it’s a miserable hour especially in a van.

sleep one night, cops cross all night in the road, but seems working, don't look to us, not too busy road, a place to stay if you don't find anything until night ( it's what happened with us).

We stayed here 3 nights. Very beautiful camping. 35 pesos for the pool. 150/night. Huge place with palmtrees. The restaurant was good and open until midnight. The weather is good, not too hot. Poneys, cats, birds, peaocks. Really good place to stay. Really quiet even if the road is just next to.

Big cabaña - two sleeping rooms - 60'000 CLP pn for 3; small cabaña - sleeping room - 40'000 CLP pn for 3. Cash only. Nice place, friendly owner. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking, no height restriction.

Great food and coffee, plus a little deli store selling homemade goods such as hummus, soup, pasta sauce and eland stew!

Potable water, filled up the tank of our RV for free.

There is a trench at the gate that was too deep for us to cross (Toyota Dolphin, 21 feet, 1.2m extension after rear tires). Probably anything shorter or a little more clearance should be ok. Important: signs say that it is closed on Wednesday!

Camped here for two nights with our Toyota Dolphin Motorhome (21ft). 150 MXN pp per night. You have a pit toilet in the back and flush toilets in the front. We parked on the left side when entering, creating a cosy little corner with small trees for shade, and put up our hammock. Lots of animals at the office building and the sounds of cows with bells roaming free. The lagoon is pretty as a picture and very swimmable in its various pools. Dogs are allowed on leash around the lagoon, but cannot swim in it. We did not do the other two options here (El Chorro, Santa Rita), so we can’t compare, but I would definitely recommend this place.

Very nice hostel beautifull view on lake and vulcano. Friendly owners. Nice price, only 15000$ p/p with amazing breakfast.

We paid 62 usd for a matrimonial. Breakfast included. big bedroom with shower and toulet. As said before, very basic. But the breakfast was better than usual!

Good and quiet place. But a lot of fly sand !

Still there, still good. Snorkeling on the left was nice, little hike up the rock there gave a nice overview of the beach. One windy and one calm day. Notes: Beach is mainly pebbles. If you have limited time in this area, go for Los Arbolitos instead, the experience there is allround better.

One of the only places between Puerto Rio Tranquilo and Cochrane to have a break. Good coffee too
