It’s just beside the rute, wind protect and enough place. Not too many cars. There are too many cotorras ( kind of papagayos), that talk too much!

I don’t know if it is comfortable for tents,, but actually there is couple with one at the spot.

Completition:
The water in the river isn't clean. It smells like black water and there are foam on the water. The pools are better but a little bit seaweed inside.
At morning the guy who cleaned the toilets told us that camping outside were free. But they charged us 50 Pesos per person for it. Thats not ok.

Non-asphalted lighted parking behind the Burger King. Some heavy trucks park there. Quiet night.

This spot deserves more credit. I’m watching an amazing sunset in a wildflower bloom between the sea of cortez and the distant mountains. Fine, white sands under my feet. My company is one giant cactus and a quire of bird song. 😊

We arrived in the dark and it was OK to stay one night with the camper although it seems not to be common. We stayed close to the apartments - be aware there are some ducks, chickens which we heard during nighttime due to our folding roof.

There is a “no overnight parking” sign at the entrance but I just stayed with no problems.

Somewhat eerie site with roofless buildings and foundations of larger machines. A hill gave us shade (arrived two hours before sunset) and made us invisible from the road. No big trees for daytime shade. Good news: no garbage!

There are a few (dry) river beds to cross to get here - the last two could be too deep for a regular 2WD or RV. Our Land Cruiser had no problem.

Great quiet spot for one night.

I saw that place while going to Cajun Seafood. I prefer to rest in a quieter spot like City Park.
J'ai vu cet endroit sous le viaduc de l'autoroute 10 en allant au restaurant de fruits de mer Cajun. Je préfère retourner au City Parc plus tranquille pour dormir.

As described, big open lot with at least 5 other vans and RVs. No hookups, but it’s quiet and safe and there are dumpsters on the way out for you to get rid of trash. We also got a pretty incredible view of the mountains to wake up to!

To where the road ends

Nasty dirt road to get there but OK in the dry. Massive confusion on the price. I was told the fixed price is 50,000 per day. Camping and entrance. If you want to then camp at the top and stay 2 days, you pay another 50,000. I tried my best to understand but then the old guy got really wound up and said if I don't like it I can leave. Quite extreme, but anyway. I was there to make the climb. Probably just do a quick up and down rather than pay twice.

Checked out the abandonned village but didn’t fancy sleeping close to the buildings. Instead I drove into the riverbed towards the reeds with the beautiful plumes. A more natural setting with bird song around. One needs high clearance though.

I was a bit disappointed with the Circuito de missiones. it’s a long drive and views are okay but not spectacular. Some of the churches are more like a shag with a bell. Wouldn’t recommend

Very clean campground for Mexico. Water was not working at the sites, electricity available. Nice beach 5 meters away. We paid 400 peso per night, the fifth night and following are only 300 peso. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers are HOT! The restaurant is closed on Mondays only. WiFi ok but only available at the office. The food if the restaurant was very good and the prices are very fair.

Good spot for a overnight camp.
We didn't find this other, apperently awesome spot in I overlander so we came here.
Just next to the dirt road with view of the lake and access to the beach.
There is somewhat of a fire pit as well.
Even ground.
Space enough for 1 vehicle or 3-4 tents.
There might be other pull offs on next to the street.

very few spots and all full of rude french canadians. they hate newcomers and try to chase you out when you arrive. very bad vibes at this place. if you have a big rig, don't bother, because there is a low gate that you will hit unless you go down the wrong side of the road leading up to the park. you wont know where it is so you'll probably end up having to do a u-turn and holding up traffic. zihua is blah anyway. keep going and head for playa zipolite. thats where heaven is.

2wheel drive mini truck=Road is good getting there, was 60 pesos per person to camp. I think 40 for dayuse, Amazing snorkeling!! They keep the restrooms very clean, there is a shower and taco truck with cold beers, they have rentals, snorkels kayaks etc. Also do guided trips. The local dogs keep the cows at bay and theres plenty of roosters to give you that super authentic that your looking for. Were in a mini truck so i dont know the r.v. Beta but seems like it goes. Morning and evening shade, the last cove southeast is great for naked snorkeling. We’re major dirtbags so its not often we are stoked on paying for camping. Stoke was high.

Great little intimate bar that seats about 15. We entered to an empty bar with the owner sitting next to his guitar and bartender alone at opening (21:00). They greeted us very warmly as if they were waiting for our arrival. We chatted about the name of the bar (Great story) carnaval, and a bit about the region. Shortly after he asked if he could play us a song, which we of course obliged. We were floored at the talent of this musician, a true veteran of music who obviously plays and sings daily. Shortly after the bartender joined on bongos and singing, then a friend showed up to lead some tunes and solo. Slowly the bar filled with groups to which he paused and greeted each as warmly. This was a truly special experience full of interesting conversation, great music, and pisco sour.
Note: s/10 entrance free p/p
