Filled our 11 kg GERMAN bottle without any adapter in 20 minutes for 16.100 chil. Peso at 10:30 a.m.. had to ask twice the lady at the desk. first she said not possible. than 03:00 p.m.. that in 15 minutes but made it directly. don't leave without gas!!!

You can get drinking water! ! from the tape inside the Oficina. It's mointainwater from the border of Bolivia. Taste is fine but it's warm out of the pipe. Ask the guard Ricardo he will help you and is happy to get some conversation! !And a coffee if you come with your Rv.

March 2019: Ferry to Masirah. One way with NFC for a 10t camper truck is RO35 plus 3.60 per passenger; there is also a private operator which is widely used by the locals and runs when its full; charge for a 10t camper truck is RO35, passengers included … the vessel is a somewhat older model :-) but we got over and back again safely

same price but with your own vehicule the entrance is only between 9 and 13. maybe only in summer time ?

Aaron is honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He got my van liveable in a week. I didn’t think it would be possible, yet I have electricity, heat, ventilation, lighting, insulation, and a toilet. He explained concepts clearly and simply, as he wanted me to understand all the systems and how they work. I’m definitely returning to him to add upgrades, such as the security cameras and a stereo system. I am so happy with every piece, it’s a wonderful experience working with Aaron. Overnight parking at an overlook with a great view across the Ensenada Bay. We decided to stay here because it is very touristic in La Bufadora. Not a perfect place: It is visible from the nearby road and there is some noise from the very little traffic but ok for one night.

Just a place to spend the night. We also drove to the end of the road and camped between the pine tees. No 4wd needed hard sand road. We were able to fit 2 cars in the small area. Plenty of blackberries in season.

Still a very good spot to wildcamp. Clean, leveled spot incl some streetlights and with a great view.

This is tucked away between river and road.

"pushed" our bikes the track and it took way longer than expected so we had to camp here because it was getting dark. For all other bikers: it is really not recommendable to take your bikes on this track! Even though the lady who was selling us the ferry tickets to O'Higgins told us so... You literally have to carry the bike all the way.

Petits emplacements pr 4x4 ou tente (4 max) 5000 Cfa/ nuit pr 4x4 (cher pr une association et pr l’endroit légèrement bruyant). Super resto a l intérieur chez Marie Claude. Du « fait maison, cuisine française » comme saucisses de Toulouse, steak purée, galettes, poisson, ...suivant le jour mais aussi pizzas, hamburgers, panini.
Il y a aussi Safi et sa boutique de vêtements et tissus. J ai fait réaliser 1 robe, 1 jupe avec des prix ok (3500 cfa/ pièce sans tissu)

Hermoso lugar, es el segundo año consecutivo que paramos y los quedamos varias noches. Muy recomendable por la tranquilidad. Hemos dejado la casilla todo el día solo y ningún problema. Muchos lugares para recorrer desde ahí dado q esta mitad de camino de las dos ciudades cercanas.

Nice location right next to river, place has so much potential but have room for improvement. Note you cannot consume your own alcohol on premises, have to buy everything from the bar. N$150pp for camping.

Magnifique endroit. Terrasse privée donnant sur le lac. Feeling d'être chez l'habitant, on aime ou pas. N'oubliez pas de texter ou d'aviser Marcus avant d'arriver. Nous ne l'avons pas rencontré, mais Mario (le gardien) et sa famille y demeurent.

We checked out this campsite and didn't like it. It lookes pretty untidy and there isn't much space to pitch the tent. But the price is cheap. We went to La Hueya campsite, which is more expensive but also much nicer and cleaner.

Stopped here on the way to La Paz. Reasonable prices! A lot of produce and there is fresh tortillas in the back!!

Be patient, in El Salvador people take their time to do everything. Check every detail from the paperwork in the Aduana. They made a lot of mistakes even though we wrote everything down with clear handwriting. Good luck!

Stopped at this place on our way into La Paz! Awesome atmosphere and the carnitas tacos were amazing for 25 pesos! They give you a bunch of sauces to try and have us some bbq pork ribs!!

Freedom has been renting bicycles, motorcycles, and 4x4 vehicles since 2009. They have the largest fleet in South America. All vehicles are purchased new and are maintained by a staff of 5 mechanics.

Freedom is a good place to stop for route advice, mechanical issues, new tires, maps, etc.
