The picture shows the price list.
We have a 7 meter long campervan and paid the price for a special vehicle which surprisingly is cheaper than the price for a passenger car.
It was the employee’s suggestion. In any case don’t pay for the category bus or truck.

Very accurate. We stayed in a camper van one night. Not a lot of flat ground for tents but it was perfect for us. It’s down a fairly steep hill but not the worst we’ve encountered. Saw sheep being herded on the beach and dolphins. Some activity from local fisherman and farmers but not loud. Wish it was clear for sunrise over the mountains across the water!

Camping on a heavily washed out side track off Beaverhead Flat Road. You need good clearance to move away from the street to escape the traffic noise. Many spaces and many campers around.

Still 3.000 but camping is officially not allowed, as was told us by the rangers and the sign when entering the park. But finally the rangers were looking away, so we could stay for the night (and so did others). Best wind protection spots are at your left hand when driving towards the beach. Several sandy roads go into the wetlands.

Lovely easy pass with great views as mentioned. 2km before end of trail a tree blocked the way so we had to turn around. No problem as the pass is so pretty. I’m sure it will be chopped up for firewood very quickly and the pass will reopen.

This place saved us from the wind and rain. Big parking space for any type of rig. Plenty of wood inside, make sure you collect some to leave for the next travelers. Our cooking set up is outside and we were able to cook and make a fire inside. Rules are clear in the shelter, leave it better than you found it.

Good and safe place. Lot of travelers come here. The beach in this point is the best. It is convenient to arrive early or in the afternoon to get place. In a córner lives Juan, who is very friendly (and Rent shower, bathroom, snorkeling equipment, kayak, SUP,etc)

Got to Joshua Tree 2 and there was already someone there. said they found that spot because of the app. spent the night here because it was available and I didn't want to have to go searching. Had another woman in a camper show up and ask if she could camp with me, I said yes, there was plenty of room so that worked out well.

I was on a solo bike tour from Ecuador to Ushuaia. On today’s ride, I did not notice any accommodation en route. In Cumbe I asked around and was told there was no formal accommodation. Luckily, I met a kind lady called Norma in her tienda (S3.08533 W79.01410)and she said I could camp in her dad’s large enclosed “Sala de Eventos” (Events Hall). We crossed the road to her Dad's house (S3.08526 W79.01433) and he said OK, I could camp in the Sala. I followed him there. It was about 500 m N. It was a good place to camp.

Pros: tent protected from rain. Bathrooms with water. 110V outlet and lights in bathroom. Tables & chairs. Water. Secure (I locked myself inside). I donated $5 for camping. Worth the money. Cons: No shower. My Claro SIM card had no data service, hence no internet.

Note that iOverlander had listed rooms in a private home belonging to a man called “Don Juan”. No-one I spoke to had heard of him.

For more details see Day 18 of my blog. "Cycling from Ecuador to Ushuaia -2019/20".

Pulled in here after dark last night. No issues. There’s a road across the river that gets a bit of truck traffic that you can hear. Otherwise great secluded spot, has a nice view of the river.

Still possible to sleep here in your vehicle. Very friendly people and nice food but next to a very busy and
loud road. So don’t forget to bring your earplugs.

When we were there it smelled really really bad, especially in the morning.(so bad we left as soon as we woke up). It’s probably from a sugar factory in the area. Our tent still smells bad from this two days later. Might be a temporary thing but good to be aware of.

Amazing views, woke up to the sun pouring over the Rockies. Full reception for cellular service and just outside of town. This spot is just off of the FSR so there isn't much traffic noise.

Only downside is no toilets but that helps keep the place less busy.

Nice campground in Tamarindo. Actually the only one available that can fit my 23 feet motorhome at the parking area. Good kitchen and social area, clean and spacious bathrooms. Well located 5 minutes walk to the main downtown road. The owner Russ, a Canadian guy, is very friendly and ready to help.
I highly recommend!

Looks like a boat launch. Grassy area and rocky beach. A couple of good spots for small camper or tents.

We were alone all night.

Highway is near but not busy. Only noise was lakes and cows.

No facilities but bushes for privacy.
