Una gran acogida por parte de Pablo y su esposa. Contamos con su ayuda de forma decisiva para resolver un cambio de neumáticos. Y, sin duda, para cualquier cosa que se precise.
Es genial encontrar lugares así en nuestros viajes.

Big campground next to a lake. You need a permit from the Fort Apache Historic Park (museum) in Fort Apache. It costs 5 USD.
toilets are next to the building. There is a limited mob and internet coverage with T-Mobile.
When I have been there (beginning of April) there was no administration and still a bit of snow

we were told that they no longer have a bank in town so you can't pay the 160 quetzal import. So you either have to take bus/taxi to naranjo to go to a bank (you can't bring your car untill you have paid) about 30 mins away. or alternatively pay the guy in immigration to make a transfer from his account by going to the 'caja rural' up the street and put the money into his account first. we paid him 75 for the service, didn't try to negotiate. tiny place, import place was just a trailer. But very very friendly staff who walked us through the process. they are hoping to get a bank again soon but who knows. took about two hours total including tip cancelling on the Mexican side. men in the town can change dollars or pesos to quetzal.

Pretty amazing repair shop in the middle of nowhere. primarily for 4 wheels, but probably the best help you can find even for motorcycles. My tyre got burst on Ruta 3, & I had to tow my bike to reach here. Owner took me all around town to find a new tyre, called everyone from San Julia to Rio Gallegos & finally found something. Cheapest too until now.

This place is not so great like everyone claims. We parked at the public parking next to El Molino Viejo restaurant around 4:30 pm on a Thursday and tried to cook dinner while people all around us were blasting loud Mexican music. It seemed like they were in a competition of who’s music is gonna be louder. We couldn’t listen to our own music and could barely concentrate on our food it was a pure torture.. contrary to the reviews and the description of this place the Wifi was non-existent. On top of that the place is really dirty-lots of Cigarette butts and garbage around, not the best place to contemplate nature. In the end we finished our food and quickly drove to Hotel Misión Santa Maria which is only 10-15 mins drive from there and wayyy quieter, safer and nicer! Definitely do not recommend to park here overnight, do yourself a favor and drive to Santa Maria and you will feel a big relief!

Peaceful and quite place with 5 large campsites and huts close to a quiet beach. Each campsite with own ablution and braai.
Nice dogs around. It’s a little bit remote. So you have to walk about 800 m to town. The restaurant is good with a very nice view over the ocean. Walking distance to the nice beach where also the restaurant is, is about 5 min. For us the best place to stay for camping at Ponto.

Official Land Rover retailer with an excellent workshop for Land Rovers. We had some issues with our Defender and they provided an amazing service at a fair price. Of course it is an official workshop, thereby the costs will be higher compared to a free workshop but the mechanics there (workshop manager and head mechanic straight from the UK) are very experienced and could help us immediately.

Car park on the beach. when we arrived there was a guardian as they were building up the car park for the summer months - not sure if he will be there permanently. free parking but we gave the guardian some eggs and a cigarette and he gave us some tea. He didn't speak much French, but seemed to know we would want to stay the night so spot may get a lot busier with tourists and campers in the summer, as lots of European campers come to mirleft. looks like when car park finished you will be able to stay on the beach itself. very quiet when we stayed with a dog and puppies belonging to guardian.

We couldn’t stay here with our roof top tent. First the reception lady said that they don’t do camping, then we showed this comment and suddenly she said that there are three chalets that could be used by rooftop tents, but that they were fully booked. But we feel that she just didn’t want to give a chalet to a camper, so don’t count on it!

Oh the places we'll go

This place is large enough for all rigs. Plenty or power to run AC. 1 block from semi crowded beach
Clean bathrooms. WiFi only close to main house. 20$ for 2 ppl and 2 dogs in truck camper.
Stayed 1 night as we called this a landing spot after crossing the border ...3.5 hours due to not having correct exit papers for dogs. 98 degrees outside and needed AC for at least a night to cool down before heading down the nicoya

Three ‘picnic areas’ and the campground is at at end of the 7mile dirt road. Talked to a local and he said it’s ok to stay the night at the picnic areas so we did. The nearest camper was over a mile away. Awesome views!
The oil pickup trucks roll thru a couple of times each day but there’s only a couple of campers passing thru per day.
A pure gem.

Better choice than anything we saw in Santo Domingo. Large parking space, balcony from room overlooks the river, lots of birds, breakfast included. $40 for 2 people. TV and aircon. No wifi. Decent room and bathroom. Carpets need to be replaced. Hallway carpets needed to be vacuumed.
