Between this spot and the following (Minera) towards Uyuni we found a flat spot. very quiet and there was a little stream to wash dishes

we couldn't find this spot cause it was dark but a couple kms towards Uyuni we found a big flat spot on the right. there's a thin stream that freezes at night but it's fine to wash dishes.

This place is next to the ferry which brings you into the West Lunga NP. When we arrived, the ferry was on the other side of the river. We spoke to the ranger who told us that the operater is in the park with other visitors and is expected back the next day. We asked him, if we could stay for the night and that was ok for him. There are no facilities at all.

Parking at the side of the route The couple that live here have a kombi, they provide electricity and a hot shower.

The entry gate wasn't high enough for us ( 3.65m ). Therefore you can park a big rig here before enjoying the hot pools. Adittionaly it is perfect for acclimate to the altitude before driving to El Tatio. Weak 4G Movistar signal.

Great remote campsite at Wistaria Boat Landing directly at Ootsa Lake. Big open area with a picnic table and a fire ring. Quiet and very scenic.

They told us camping wasn’t allowed so we booked a dorm. When we got there they told us we couldn’t even park on the flat bit right by reception but we didn’t want to leave it on the steep parking outside the entrance where no one could see it so we begged them to let us park it by reception and eventually they said fine. The views are AMAZING but this place definitely seems like it’s seen better days! We were put in the finca two minutes walk up the hill and there was no power for two days before they let us move down to the main hostel. Showers are freezing and dorms are fairly basic, no nice touches or decorations everywhere. Also lots of things they advertise haven’t been maintained and are unusable, like the high ropes course and the mountain bike trails. I think it’s changed owners. Good things though: there are quite a few of the giant hammocks so it’s not like a constant queue to get on one, the food was surprisingly good as was the bar and cocktails. Unless you’re staying in the finca you’d better be up for a party though cos the music is very loud until late even if hardly anyone is in the bar. Also we drove up in rainy season - 4x4 definitely required, half the road was washed away! Our dog was allowed, but there are tons of dogs living at the hostel - I think a couple are pets and the rest are street dogs they allow in the hostel. They barked all night and I got bitten by one of them and was told he hadn’t had a rabies vaccine. Another girl I met was bitten by a different dog here.

N'allez surtout pas là bas ce sont des voleurs. On a été immobilisé 3 jours car ils ne travaillaient que 2/3h dans la journée sur le camion. Et on a payé 900€ pour un nettoyage d'injecteur + changement d'une pièce qu'ils nous ont faient payer le double d'en France. 40€/h de main d'oeuvre . On est dégouté.

Nice guys, both sides. Assalom aleikum and handshake works with most. Little English, Russian. Well organised, quiet border, no hassle. Big white French camper had to pay 100US$. We paid 25 (Toyota Hilux with camperunit). Only 15 days car import possible here. No search of the car.

Good hotel in the city where you can park your car, even if they are a bit bigger. Our car is 2,30m high and it fits easily. Parking is very safe in the hotel.
Rooms are ok. If you have a window to the streets, it's a bit noisy because of the traffic.
The hotel seems like a love hotel. But there are also other travellers.
Parking costs 10 Sol per night, Double room with private bathroom 50 Sol per nights, weekends 20 Sol more. But there are cheaper options with indoor window.

This place is a gem, we had a hard time leaving! The owners, Sharon and Bruce, are very welcoming and quickly made us feel part of the community. The food is delicious and the best quality we found in and around Placencia. Definitely worth the price. Attentive and kind staff, well kept grounds, and great pool/lounging area. Highly recommended!

Very honest and hard working and open mechanic. Professional and clean. He told us honestly when he couldn't fix our problem and helped us think through and evaluate options. Let us keep the van there for 2 weeks while he/we did work on it. If you have an urgent problem then he's a great place to go to.

Flat area for vehicles. paid 30q for a RTT and a ground tent together. Four people and a dog! Augustine was a very nice gentleman, he was the one we talked to about staying. he has a few other family members who live there as well. River below close by to swim in. Park only three min walk up the road. bathrooms are 2Q to use their pit toilets. while we were there one drunk man got into a violent disagreement towards his wife an child, Augustine came out and put a stop to it but it was the reason why we didnt spend 2 nights. otherwise it was very lovely!

ATV area. Seen rv's camped at the parking lot for up to a week. If you can't find a flat spot, you could probably just park in the parking lot, deal with the wind, and set up a tent right there.Took my RAV4 on the dirt road next to the parking lot and parked near a stream off the main biking/atv trail. Got as far away from stream as possible due to BLM rules. Stayed for a total of 3 nights; two during weekdays and one on a Sunday. I had no issues. Just make sure you park your car and set up your tent off any riding trails.

Lovely place to camp near the river and close to town. Friendly owner. Cats and chickens around. Bit of a dirty outside cooking area but we didn't use it. Can imagine the place would be buzzing in the high season. Pool & food offered but we didn't use either. Paid 25000 for tent per night & 15000 per person per night.

Really good spot for overnight stay! Room for max 15-20 cars. No facilities here. Please share the space with the other campers. :)

Immense parking avec emplacement avec eau électricité gratuite pendant 10 jours. Toilettes. wifi payant. Calme la nuit. Magasin de vr piece détachées et vente de véhicules. Propane juste a côté ainsi que laverie.

Only by motorbike accessible. Try to find a entrance from the road and then camp where ever you want. Very secluded. The water is very clean. Getting in the lake is at some places difficult because of the plants and the ground of the lake (muddy). The campground is sandy and there is a lot of firewood.

Gemütlicher platz am Fluss, perfeckt für eine Nacht.

Private location. The bugs, mostly mosquitoes made the stay almost unbearable.
