Nice spot under the road by the lake! Fire rings! :) Quiet at night!

Campground with a good price for Cyclists and Motorcyclists (120SEK per night, prices for 2019) if you just pitch your tent.
Shower is 5SEK/5min.

Next to the road, decent droptoilet and grass with trees. Maybe suitable for cyclists.

The campsite is nice enough, view is quite pretty. Shower is hot. That said, we felt it was a bit overpriced at $10pppn. Staff was not super helpful, when we asked if we could borrow a blanket the second night they asked for an additional $7pp.

Here you can buy a MobiCom SIM-card.
In the supermarkets with the MobiCom sign you can only top up a SIM-card.

nice lodge and restaurant. we had lunch here with a guide. Maybe you can arrange transport to here by renting a boat :)

Be careful! Tries to take advantage of ‘stupid’ tourists! Not recommended!
Couldn’t open our car anymore so we asked him if he has a stick or something to break into it. After 5 minutes he was successful and could open the door. Then wanted to charge us 30.000 Chilenian Pesos (40 USD) and told us that ‘San Pedro is expensive’. We told him that this is nearly all the cash we have and after 1 minute of ‘negotiation’ he came down to 10.000 Pesos. So definitely wanted to rip us off!

nice little park a couple miles from nearest store several sites I have stayed here in past never been bothered about paying but I think you may have to pay the town but there is no sign has picnic tables play ground for kids 1/2 mile dirt track for walking fire rings I see a water pump but no handle I usually am here in may and early june so maybe it's to early and they haven't put handle on nice quite spot there are sites by play ground and sites in woods back of track I'm told years ago when the track was used more they charged but now unknown but I'm sure 10.00 or less a night if someone does show up

Great new place with amazing staff and a very big breakfast! Very clean and perfect bathroom! Parking in front of the hostel available. We paid 30 dollars for a double room with breakfast. Highly recommended.

Needed a spot with wifi for the evening. 6000 per rig. Plenty of room in the parking lot. You can use the facilities. Not great but definitely does the job if you need a secure spot, wifi and bathrooms.

Free spot by the beach. It’s a grassy areas off the road with plenty of space. Stayed one night, no problems.

Spent one night here off the road under the trees a little closer to town than where this point is. Not great as you are right on the road. We later moved on to Punta Uva which was way better for us.

Parking next to the lake. shady in the morning and evening. No services but quiet on weekdays. Medium source of mosquitos... lake ist about 500m away. Toilets and water there, closed at night. Dogs allowed on beach not in water, but you can go a bit around the lake, there are spots for them to go in.

The first small road to the left that you see when you arrive indeed leads to a pretty spot at the lake with a dock but has a sign that says 'no admittance in the night'.

So drive on and even before taking the left turn of the 'Y' road; there's a big, quite flat, green area where we parked our car and pitched our tent right now. Nice and quiet!

The coördinates plotted in by 'Horizon Transition' are the coördinates pass the 'Y' road they described and a bit further than the very small turnout 20m onto the small potholed road; the small turnout is now blocked by a log.

Still closed. We moved to Tahoe NF because the rest area close to the fuel station was full of big and loud trucks.

Full of noisy idling trucks so we didn't stay here and moved to Tahoe NF.

Nice, peaceful and quiet place in the middle of Nature with stunning night sky full of the bright stars. :)

I absolutely cannot recommend this place for safety reasons, we saw 3 vehicles with broken windows, so moved away asap! There were many signs with warning about thieves.

The best place for parking during the day (6AM-10PM) and for free. Restrooms included. We parked here two days in a row and without any issues.

This is a really good area for overnight staying close to the downtown! Just find some spot to park your car along the streets around the sport fields or behind Safeway.

Meadow in the middle of the ruins of an ancient settlement with typical caucasian defence towers (accessible over a bumpy dirt road). Very quiet, no poeple around. Great view on the nearest snow covered peaks. Water source on the roadside ca. 3,5 km westwards.

Restaurant of a petrol station. Big dishes and cheap prices. Zambian food and take away burguers, samosas and sandwiches. Calm and polite staff.

our camper didn't start, afterwards I noticed a crack near the minus pole. Piet towed us to the workshop and did some measurements on the battery to conclude that the battery is gone.
for towing and measurement we paid 400ND. Afterwards we went to Diesel Electric for a new battery on suggestion Piet.

I arrived at 5pm. The kind jung lady said, it is no space for the VW T5.

The owner is still very nice. The trees are now away. The rest is like described.
