Description

Bambu has cabañas, rooms to rent. You can also sleep in your rig in the secure carpark out back with access to bathrooms, wifi etc for around $6
pp per night (depending on season). Large area out back so most big rigs should be fine if it’s empty, but often lots of cars parked.

Beautiful leafy grounds. Restaurant/bar onsite. Really friendly staff. Hammocks, pool table and ping pong table to use. Waves right out front by river mouth.

Showers for overlanders are outdoors, so not much privacy.

Super nice spot! One of the places that I don’t know why even bother with overlanders.
We actually liked the restaurant. One of the better octopuses we have had. Plenty of good reviews in Google Maps too.

There was hyper loud music from the two beach bars right in front of the hotel. The other comments mention that it is a calm place so it might be a one off party on Saturday or it might be something new, but we couldn’t sleep much until 3:30am. It was super loud and bassy all the way back at the parking.

Perfect and lovely place ! Space for one RV and maybe few vans. Secure place. You have showers (outdoor), bathrooms and a nice pool. Very calm. They have a bar and restaurant. Directly access to the beach. 5$ per person per day.

We spent a Monday and Tuesday night here. Safe, secure and quiet at night. Nice pool. Covered cabana. Fast Wi-Fi and a cell tower 100 meters away. Good reception. The beach is close by. Dog friendly.

My friends ate in the restaurant and said it was disappointing. When it rains there will be mud in the parking lot. A nice touch would be to add a sink for dish washing. As it is, there’s a hose.

We paid $5 per person per night. I’d stay again.

We loved our stay here. Only paid $5p/p (our four year old did not have to pay). Loved loved loved the pool. The hotel is beautifully landscaped, you can cook and use their tables, water faucet behind where you camp to do your dishes. Definitely recommend. Cocktails are yummy but we weren’t so pleased with the restaurant food. Directly on the beach. Would return!

This place is niccccce! All as reported below. Happy hour is 2 for 1 cocktails from 5-6pm. Outdoor pool showers. The price is clearly open to negotiation. They told us $10pp including pool & everything. When we said the others paid $5, they said okay $6pp and that was fine with us considering how nice it is.

Great spot! Super fast wifi, and being right on the river, there's always a little breeze so it's not super hot. Lots of charm to this spot with a pretty good restaurant with decent prices.

We were charged $5pp, including the pool.

as per below, still $5 pp but if you want to use the pool another $6. The Pacific is right there!!! it was a toss up between here and Tramonte (looked good on my recon), my laundry was near the bambu so here I am

We opted for Bambu hotel bc of secure parking for our bikes. Rented a nice room (no. 5) with sea and river view for 60$/night incl. best breakfast we had in weeks. A bit pricey all together but worth every cent. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent restaurant. Iguanas to be seen! Good vibes all around.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place on the beach! Wifi worked really well, toilets were clean, 2 outdoor showers near the swimming pool, parking lot for 6-7 cars. We stayed in our RV for 10 dollars per night (2 people), friendly staff and restaurant with reasonable prices (menu has several options). They also have gym equipment, table tennis, jenga and a pool table. Definitely worth a stay if you’re passing Canoa!

Report Check-In

very good option. The parking spot is not big, but is enough for small camper Vans. not height limit.
You can use toilets, showers, pool and all the social area with ping pong and billar.
we payed 13 USD for two persons.

Report Check-In

Great place. Parking lot is not that big, but the rest of the outdoor communal area is (I added a few pictures). Really nice vibe. Hotel has a bar, restaurant, pool table, ping pong, lots of hammocks and a few times a week really nice yoga classes. Electricity can be arranged. 2 showers, one is lukewarm (but that is OK, given that it’s always above 20 degrees). 4 toilets that are regularly cleaned.
It’s right at the beach. Surf boards can be rented in town. Town does not have a supermarket, so stock up before you come here (or enjoy the restaurant).

Report Check-In

The place is awesome, the parking were you camp its a sandy lot, electricity and WiFi available, restaurant is good. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Facilities are spotless, the manager is a very attentive and friendly person. The best place to stay in Canoa. Dog friendly.

Report Check-In

Really nice and quiet place, spent two nights here with my pickup with rooftent. Sandy and small grassy ground, nice bathroom, hot shower, very clean. Great view from the bar/restaurant to the Beach and the Ocean, saw beautiful sunset! Happy hour, delicious food and drinks. Helpful and friendly staff. Payed 5$ pppn for Camping. Highlight recommended!

Report Check-In

Quiet (week day/night), clean and big enough for few rigs. $5 pppn gives you hot shower, banos, wifi, beach, ocean and small town where you can get everything you possibly need.

Report Check-In

great place and HOT showers. check out the parking area first it's tight and if you arrive on a holiday weekend there might not be parking. park at back gate and then walk up front to check in. really nice place to stay. our favorite beach on the coast (at low tide that is).

Report Check-In

Small parking lot, cannot imagine more than two small-medium vehicles here. But other than that it's a great place. Wonderful, REAL plumbed hot showers, clean bathrooms, right on the beach. Quiet nights. Friendly staff offered to let us plug in. Also a water tap in lot. Very good and consistent wifi. No kitchen available. We loved our stay here. Think they might be building new bathroom block closer to camping area. $5 pp/pn

Report Check-In

Very relaxed place with friendly staff. We paid 5$pppn but also asked to use their towels.

Report Check-In

Amazing location, for 5$ per person you get really good WiFi, clean showers and toilets. Our big rig fit in without any problems. We felt safe and super welcome all the time. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, especially the fish tacos. We were allowed to fill up our water tanks without extra pay. Canoa is a fun little surf town.

Report Check-In

Wonderful place, beachfront, friendly staff, large area, ping-pong table, hammocks, porch swing. Nicely restored from the April 21, 2016 earthquake mag. 7.8 which destroyed most of the town.
Wifi barely reaches the back side parking area.

Report Check-In

We found this to be perfect - sleeping in our van in the secure parking area out back of the beautiful leafy grounds 🌿 We paid $4pp per night. Bambu has hammocks, a ping pong table and pool table, slackline, nice bathrooms and hot showers, good wifi, and a beachfront restaurant / bar. The staff are really friendly. Busy waves right out the front by river mouth. Little pigs squealing next door are either cute or annoying, depending on how you look at it...

Report Check-In

Camped in the parking lot on a Sunday night - $5pp. Surprising quiet, room for big rigs and rooftop tents. Sheltered from the wind. Hot water in showers but bathrooms nothing special. Wifi and potable water at the bar. Restaurant is expensive and nothing special- looks like better options 5 mins walk into town. Very touristy.

very nice location directly at the beach
