In an area where hidden wild camp spots are hard to find we found this this river bed. It’s a nice hidden place close to the road. Because the river is lower you can camp here unseen. To find it: from the main road enter the small track a 100m more south of here, cross the old train trail and turn left till you see the river on the right side. Follow till the river bed.
It’s an easy track to enter this place. Because you’re close to the road you can hear the traffic but at night it’s quiet.
We camped here in dry season, I don’t know what the river does in rain season but a bit higher up a small tent can camp unseen as well.
We didn’t use the river water for cooking or drinking. It seems clear but I think it runs through a small village more upstream.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

It seems like a miracle that there could be a hiding spot in this wide open area, but it is perfect, hats off for finding it! We had a relaxing afternoon watching the birds, and the night was quiet. The flat space is about one meter higher than the water, so you are technically not in the riverbed, but still low enough so be out of sight.
Shortly after dusk an elderly farmer couple worked a little bit on the adjacent field before going home. When we asked them they were fine with us camping one night with our tent. Very nice people, who were only bothered that we might get too cold in the night, so it felt quite safe.
River water seems rather polluted.
Added photo shows view from the camping spot, not the spot itself!
