Hotel Casa Jose is located at the end of a quiet residential street in Coban. Eliana is the owner and her house is next to the hotel (formerly house converted to provide 4-5 rooms of varying sizes all with private bathroom).
Found this after a long day of driving using booking.com. Was able to negotiate a rate for two adults and one child (12 years old) - paid 250 quetzales for the night. She very kindly accommodated our request for dinner (25q pp) and also provides breakfast on site for an extra fee. Place is super nice and clean, beds are comfortable, great water pressure and you don't have to wait for hot water. Rooms are themed and we stayed in Las Conchas. Free WiFi which was decent. They offer secure gated parking for one or two cars - our Defender was able to fit. Otherwise parking on the street in front of the hotel. A welcome find after a long day of driving.
