Scenic grassy area near bridge over river, south of Lago Yelcho. With a lot of bugs in summer time.

Very nice place next to the bridge and near the river.
To enter the place( coming from Ruta 7). Pass the bridge, 50-100m after the bridge turn right( small gravel road).
You find a lot spots for tents or even for big rigs.
Some Moskitos in the evening.
Please take your rubbish and your poo with you! Some bushes look quite nasty.
Report Check-InNice place by the side of the river. There’s no flesh eating flies here, which is great! Open place with room for several cars/vans/trucks/tents. 2x4 friendly road, and no need for high clearance.
When you cross the bridge, drive another 100m, (driving in direction towards Futaleufú or Palena) then take the small dirt road on the right side of the road. You’ll find several spots directly to the right. It is close to the road and some spots are more sheltered than others.
There’s at least two fire pits ready to be used and a small “beach” is you want to swim. Strong currents in the river though!
Neighbours living down the road told us it was ok to stay here, it is not private property.

passamos uma noite super tranquila.
Pernoitamos aqui em 5 motorhome e um viajante de bicicleta, sem incômodo !
Pegamos água do rio, todos lavaram roupa um fim de dia bem proveitoso!

Report Check-InNice free spot for a night to break down drive to or from Futalefu. Next to the river and close to the road. Quiet at night as there’s barely when dark.
Report Check-InVery nice and quiet place, Grassy with a lot of wood and a fireplace. River allows a great bath. Bread and eggs can be bought at the house other side of the bridge.
Report Check-InThis site is still open and provides a good spot for big rigs and tents. Plenty of flat grassy areas, some more secluded than others. Some visibility from the road but otherwise a good spot to spend the night. Very quiet between 9pm - 8am. Several fire pits available but no wood source accessible.
