Emigrant, Death Valley National Park | Established Campground

Campground was open today. Has about ten spots with picnic tables. Sign at entrance says tent only but there was a couple of vans so I don't think they're too strict about this. I pulled in a little after dark and managed to get the last spot. A couple of vehicles pulled in after and had no luck but this was on a Saturday so makes sense. There's trash bins, a bathroom and water within walking distance.

Beautiful views, free, and at 2000 feet it is cooler than staying in the valley.

Right off the road and close together camping. It’s free and has a good bathroom and water.

“Sunset” is early because of the mountains but pretty. Looking forward to the sunrise!

nice place, free, sites close together and fills up fast. had someone put a tent up 4 feet from our van door.

extremely quiet site. “tents only” but people were mostly sleeping in there vehicles. highly recommended.

This is a gravel lot and very tight spots. Good for a night. Great views!

great place! filled up by 5:30 on Saturday. Saw a few cute Kit foxes tip toeing around looking for camp scraps so remember to stow away your rubbish! Windy but great star viewing at night

Great free spot in Death Valley. We slept in our van, no issues. The spots get snagged quickly, we got there by 530 and were one of the last spots. There are only 10 spots, and are all very close together. Great views and quiet and night!

Free campground in national park, first arrived first served system, 10 sites with picnic table, flush toilets, recycle bin. Nice and quiet place to camp, was full at 6pm this Friday.

Nice free site along the road . Quite windy . Ok for van and tents . Quiet at night .

Free campground close to the road. There is a day use area next to it with a toilet. When you drive in, it has a sign „tent only“. We slept in our van and it wasn’t a problem. You can see hundreds of stars at night and it’s quiet.

slept here one night in our ford e150 van. there is a sign saying tents only but most people there seemed to be sleeping in their cars. has running water and flush toilets officially only 10 slaves but can fit two cars in one space if need be.

Free campground for tents only. Ten sites with terrific views of the lower valley. Nearby bathroom with running (cold) water about 100 yds. FREE!
