Really nice campsite with a big grassy area, although not all of it is protected. It was not crowded when we were there but if it does get you may not have a good spot. Scattered outhouses are pretty small due. Showers are solar and weren't hot the 2 nights we camped there.

Report Check-In

Huge grass area and if there are not too many people, you get your own hut in which you can cook and eat at a table. If you're lucky, you'll see the puma!

Un espacio grande para carpas con refugios para cocinar y comer. Quizás puedes ver al puma andando por el camping. Las duchas son con agua tibia. Hay dos senderos a lado del camping. 8k, sin señal.

Report Check-In

8.000 pp.
Shower lukewarm, clean toilet
Sheltered cooking sites with comfortable tables
Big grassy area for putting the tent, motorhomes etc on the gravel place in front

Report Check-In

Nice little National Park camp spot. We camped in our van so we had to stay in the parking lot but there is a huge grass area for tents that was very nice. The campground had a couple little shelters for people staying in tents to cook and hangout. They had okay bathrooms but the showers were not working when we stayed there so that was a little bummer especially after hiking 13 miles we really wanted a shower but what can you do. The sinks did have running water so we could at least clean up a little bit and clean our dishes. Not a bad spot for a night.

Report Check-In

The setting is stunning - walk over the little foot bridge and up the nobble behind for a wonderful overview. We had gloriously isolated tent camping, probably less nice for camper vans which are confined to a small car park unless you like being sociable! High class facilities though cleaning may be more haphazard. Showers were warm at 5 pm. Base for superb Lagunas Altas walk. Perfectly OK with 2wd. 8000 each per night, pay at visitor centre if you are honest and want to support the park!

Report Check-In

We spend one night here. Lots of space, some places can be well protected from sun (and a little from wind). Some sheltered area with bench and table for cooking. The temperature of the showers depends on the weather as it is solar powered heating. There is frequent puma sighting (the ranger told us at sunset and sunrise). The grass is for tents only, the cars and campers have to stay in the little parking. We paid 8000 pp. Close to the beginning of the very nice lagunas altas trail.

Report Check-In

Big grass field with a small parking for cars and campers. We were there with a small camper van and had to squeeze on the small parking lot together with other cars and campers (so no privacy at all). Only 6 toilets (no toilet paper) and 4 showers (1 was out of use during our stay). No hot water. Distance from parking to bathroom is quite far. If you have a tent the experience might be better because there is a lot of space to put a tent.

Report Check-In

Slept there for 2 nights, it was okay. With a camper, you sleep in the parking lot and you have to pay 8000 clp per person. Ranger come in the evening to check (around 6 PM).

We didn’t see any puma but keep your eyes open.

Report Check-In

is open 8000 pppn and entrance fee of 11000 per adult foreigner.

Report Check-In

Absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately the sun was not enough to keep the showers warm, it’s early in the season I guess.
Even had the honour of seeing a puma up close, just 30 meters from our camper!
The Laguna Altas hike is worth the day, go for the counterclockwise direction, steep start, but better than the other way round.

Report Check-In

Gate is closed. No information if season is over

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, cars must stay on the parking lot (for around 8-10 cars). You cannot drive onto the grass due to pillars, which is good IMHO. Huge area for tents with wind and rain sheltered areas. Bathrooms are clean. We didn't see the puma 😬

Report Check-In

stayed here two nights in camper in car park. a small walk to the bathroom and sinks but we didn't mind. nice view! nice campsite infrastructure

Report Check-In

stayed there because they said no wild camping but it is false. you Can sleep in the parkings !

Report Check-In

The parking lot for rigs was full, so we camped on the parking lot above (the middle parking lot where the sendero lagunas altas starts). Perfectly quiet and nice, nobody bothered us. We actually saw the puma, it stood right in front of our car at dusk, looking at us before walking away. Epic (though I guess caution is advised).

Report Check-In

Beautiful camping site with shelters. Purchase tickets at the information office. Be aware a puma (quite large) has been seen two nights coming to the stream for water in the camp. Just wander around not minding people.

Report Check-In

Lovely place to camp in the park! Great access to the most popular Lagunas Altas hike. Vans and cars only on the parking (can only access the campground in the third camping in the park). Cold showers but high class bathrooms. There is a puma crossing the campsite regularly.

Report Check-In

Basic camping and beginning of the park. Solar powered showers so only lukewarm. No reception and electricity. 8000CLP pppn if ranger comes to collect. Lagunas Altas trail which starts at campsite is great.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights. Beautiful setting. Ranger came the second morning but not the first. He told us to put at the welcome centre, which also includes a visit to the museum- well worth an hour of your time.
The campsite has good bathrooms but cold showers. Guanaco roam freely and if you’re lucky there are possible Puma sightings nearby. We loved this place!
(Although I wish campers could go further than the car park- we occupied a corner near the grass, wasn’t busy so a good compromise)

Report Check-In

As described. Very nice and big place, remote and empty (low-season) - there were just two tents apart of us in a camper. No problem staying at the parking lot and camp there. Everything clean, no hot water late in the evening, no Wi-Fi, amazing surroundings. No one came to charge us, the office was closed, so we didn’t pay anything. Definitely the best option if you want to do some hike next day. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Beautifully located campground. Shared the place with one other couple and a guanaco. Toilets and showers clean, showers more or less warm. We arrived around 4 pm and left at 5.30 am to do the lagunas altas sendero and never saw a ranger to collect.

Report Check-In

Last time I came was in 2017, sadly the campground is no longer being taken care as before. Maybe Conaf is not competent enough for managing this kind of infrastructure. The park and it's wildlife remains stunning as always.

Report Check-In

as described,
ranger am at 9:30 pm in the evening and 9:00 am in the morning

Report Check-In

Nice campground, few people, okayish maintained (considering that it is only the 2nd season, it looks used). Sun comes out around 9am.

Only one of the two of us could use the warm (not hot) shower, after that water was really cold.
Park entry is 8000 pesos/person and camping another
8000 pesos/person/night. It is really expensive. We did the Lagunas Altas Hike which was really nice and planed to do the Furioso Trail the day after. The guardaparque told us we couldn‘t, as it is only for mountainbikes and not maintained. I showed h the parque brochure with different information, but he said it was not like this anymore. We could do the Aviles Trail, but that would cost extra 6000 pesos/person.
We ended up leaving the park after this one night without doing the Avilés Trail. We were disappointed, paying so much, getting wrong information online and not being able to do the planed hikes.

Report Check-In

We parked at the Lagunas Altas trailhead a little above the campground since the campground looked busy and the views seemed better a bit higher up. We moved our van to the other parking lot for the hike early in the morning, no ranger ever came by and we did not pay

Report Check-In

Nice views and many good spots our of the wind. Campers only on the parking area, also for 8k each. Not too busy, but
campsite Stone House was a lot more quiet.

Report Check-In

Better for tents then for campervans, because you can only stay in the parking lot and it’s bit far from the sheltered picnic tables and the bathrooms. Nice bathrooms but the showers were very cold. We saw more wildlife from the campsite (guanacos, condors, rabbits) then on the lagunas altas hike (which was very windy!). We paid 16.000 pesos for two people and a campervan, which isn’t cheap, but the national park is free. And because it is a national park, wild camping isn’t an option.

Report Check-In

Nice campground with lot of space for shelter tents. Cars and campervans have to stay on the parking lot. Bathrooms are good and warm water provided (solar)
Free wifi (no passsword) near the lodge. 8000 pp pn

Report Check-In

Stayed in the car park and it was all fine. couldn't get any hot water in the showers, though.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay with fantastic facilities especially if you are doing the fabulous Lagunas Altas trail the next day like we did.

Report Check-In

We stayed in the parking lot here with our Land Rover and Caravan, great location. Only 1 tent on the camp ground. $8000 per person per night. No charge for day use only.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite with nice bathrooms and shelters. Big rigs can park in the parking lot but would reco the one 28k east if you don't mind the extra drive. It's got better views, closer to more trails and more spots for big rigs. Restaurant & bar is pricey but a nice treat.

Report Check-In

Well maintained campsite. Four wind protected huts with benches and tables. Bathroom with toilets and showers. A ranger comes by in the morning and the evening to collect the fee, which us 8.000 CLP per person. However, the parking area in front of the campsite is the only place where motorhomes can be parked.

Report Check-In

Lovely campground! All amenities were clean for us and we had a little shelter to ourselves, since it wasn't very busy. We stayed at the site 2 shelters up from the toilets (as you head away from the carpark) and barely felt the wind that was roaring down by the sites near the poplars. Free for us in mid march - we stayed 2 nights. We would have been happy to pay though, this is an amazingly beautiful park. We will be donating to the conservancy. Friendly Guanacos roam the grassy area, and we were visited by a little skunk on our first day. Highly reccomended.

Report Check-In

We parked here with our Sprinter and nice ranger came to to money collecting round at 17:30. Had good information for the Lagunas Altas hike and warnings about pumas in the park. Guanacos are plenty so pumas are thriving as well. Paid for one person 8000 pesos, we are 2 traveling, as we don’t use the facilities and only needed a legal place to park inside the National Park. It is just a gravel parking lot. Also only 8 tents where up when we where here. More Guanacos then prople in this campground.
The Lagunas Altas hike is 21km loop from this parking lot. Even new kilometer signs go only until 19km. On the trail is numerous no swimming, no camping and no fires signs. Good hike!

Report Check-In

beautiful rustic campsite as described before but not friendly for families: you cannot park your vehicule close to your tent and may have to walk a lot.

Report Check-In

Wonderful campsite. Green mown lawns, plenty of shelters of first rate quality. Tent camping - car/van camping in one of the two parking Lots. There are great showers / toilets and washing up area. Highly recommended. Terrific trek from the camping ground. 8,000 high season pp. We stayed at all three Parque Patagonia sites and thought they were awesome.

Report Check-In

As it's high season now, the ranger comes around and it's 8000 pp, that's what it says on website and it seems what everyone got charged. Stunning setting, guanacos hanging around, clean hot showers, a river for water nearby, lots of spots to hang out, only 2 km walk to restaurant and of course the start of the Lagunas Altas hike which is long, tough but truly stunning. Also the flies are out. In your motor home you park in the parking lot but all the facilities are right there. We felt the price was worth it. Recommend.

Report Check-In

Closed at the moment for cars due to maintenance of the road. Only possibility was casa piedra campground (25 km away).

Report Check-In

We could stay on the parking lot of the campsite for free. Cold showers this time of year. The altitude of this place is around 800m, so I'm not sure if that made the hike tough.. ;)

Report Check-In

Don't miss Patagonia Park!!! One of the most beautifull landscapes and trekkings. The hikes are a bit tough because of altitude, but well worth it: the 23 km Laguna Altos and from Casa Piedra camping the 17 km hike.

Report Check-In

Stunning park and definitely worth stopping by and at least doing the Laguna Atlas trail. Guanacos everywhere !! Don't pay any more than 5000pp for camping though - we confirmed the price with the staff at the admin / info centre. We met people who had paid 7500pp and 10,000pp... Maybe the campsite guy is taking some off the top for himself...

Report Check-In

Really nice hot showers! But didn't like that you have to park outside :(

Report Check-In

After a long drive via paso roballo (it was breathtaking) we went to this place, it was beautiful but they took us 10000peso per night and person wich it's too much... when we not been so tired we would'nt stay here... it's a shame the place is really nice...

Report Check-In

Very beautiful campground. Friendly people. Hot solar shower. Asked 10k pp at Admin, negotiated with Pablo (guardaparque) and payed 5k pp. Not cheap but worth it. Stayed 4 nights. Nice senderos.

Report Check-In

Very nice eco friendly camping. Lovely scenery in a very beautiful parc.
The campground is very good for tent campers as there is a big nice green grass lawn.
Solar showers, shelters for cooking.
1000/ adult, children under 12 don't pay.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite, solar shower was hot, people friendly. No one mentioned the no cars on grass rule to us, so we drove on there. Beautiful hike too!

Report Check-In

Beautiful site with new and clean amenities. Nice solar showers and flushing toilets. Tent campers can choose a spot on a huge grassy area. Shelters with roof and tables available. Vehicule-based campers must stay in parking area, which might get tight in peak season. But the scenery is the same - just spectacular. The hike sendero lagunas altas is brilliant. Highly recommended to do this day-hike (22km).

Report Check-In

The park is beautiful and has a worthwhile 14 mile Laguna atlas trail (best done east to west imho so you can dip in pristine lake near the end). Vehicles camp in parking lot but the lack of cars make the large grassy campground much more serene. There was a stove in a palapa meant for volunteers but we used it when they weren't there with no problems. Showers are solar. Bathrooms are very nice. Doug Tompkins gravestone is in a understated cemetery that you can visit.

Report Check-In

Indeed strange that cars must stay on parking lot. Even more annoying are hundreds of flies buzzing around you. Campsites facilities are brand new, really nice shelters with firepits. Nice toilets and showers (solar powered, so not warm when busy). Big grassland with trees around it. The flies and parking rule spoiled it for us though...

Report Check-In

Only open campsite in Parque Patagonia. Must park in lot and walk to covered picnic tables. Perfect for tent campers. Too expensive for us without many amenities, $5000 per person.
