Something not right?

Description

By a lack of campingplaces in Valparaiso or Viña we came to this place! At first sight we tought we took the wrong way to get here but than we arrived and it's An okay place. 7000 P.p. A little bit overpriced but it was better than to stay at a copec gasstation! Watch out: when we were here they were rebuilding right next to the campsites a lot of noise beginning from 8am!

Comment: June 2017 Price : 8000 pesos per person. We confirm : location not easy to find ! GPS adress : Camino international in Vina del Mar. Entrante in front of CUCA. The access road is not reassuring but the place is very ok. The owner is friendly. We liked her compagny

when tout reach the entrance there
is a gris locked, toi Horn ans a guard appears to open ;0)
It seems to me, it was a little bit expensive for the services available :-(
the wifi is not available (by lack of password), water and electricity available.
the price was 30000 pesos, I discuss and obtained 25000 pesos for 2 people and a big rig per day.

The road to this place is closed with iron gates.

Angelica is the owner of this nice campground. She is very nice! Bathrooms with toilets and showers. All working and clean! Lots of shade and room. Very quiet at night. There are some dogs on the property but they are all super friendly and at night quiet.
When you come down the hill, turn in at the bus stop and go through the gate.
There are bbq and sink at each palapa with table and shade.
Everything very clean.. little buses stop in front to go to town. We paid $10000 pp/day in truck & camper combo.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans ce camping. Nous l'avons beaucoup apprécié. Ok pour les camping car, piscine, trampoline, petite cabane pour manger, une cuisine collective avec gaziniere et Frigo. Sanitaire propre. Endroit très calme. 8000 par personne. Wifi en panne qd nous y etions.

It looked closed as the gate was locked. Luckily while deciding for plan B some workers showed up and the lady let us in. Unfortunately this seemed like the best option in terms of safety but... the place is run down, there’s trash everywhere, bathrooms are not clean and with very dim light if at all, washing machine doesn’t work good, kitchen area is filthy (lady claims long term tenants should clean and she doesn’t because otherwise they get used to it- great, so we pay 14.000 for us to live filthy? Interesting mentality). Crap laying around, dogs everywhere, wifi only around her house. The entrance at night is extremely dark and some questionable ppl hanging out in the overpass, be careful! I wouldn’t have stayed here if there where other options. I will shower at a copec!

Camping is closed. Seaaon over?? Were disappointed. Took us 3 tries to find it. Gate locked. Called number but no answer.

Great camping with for each site a sink and a barbecue, electricity and table with lights to have dinner
Washing machine available
Very nice lady owner who gave us tomatoes from the garden
Clean bathroom
The bus come very often and you take it right outside the camping, 700 pesos to get to viña Del Mar in 15mn or Valparaiso in 30mn
I would recommend for people going to Valparaiso in a camper van like us, best safe option :)

Report Check-In

Very nice camping outside of Vina del Mar. We paid 8,000 pp. Near by is a bus stop with very good connections to go to Valparaiso & Vina del Mar.

If you take the small dirt road directly in front of the pedestrian overpass right when coming from north and then immediately turn left onto the smaller dirt path, you will start to see numerous signs advertising Rancho Casanova. Just keep going.
16000 for two for night we stayed there. Only charged 8000 for Nights we actually stayed in Valparaiso and just stored camper there.
Wifi usable up by office.
Wanted to use washing machine but big equipment ripped up her water line on the morning we returned so decided to head on out. But generally washing machine is available.
Property needs major maintenance done. But quiet at night.

Very friendly lady who runs this place. Super helpful. 8000 pp so a bit pricy but I agree it is one of the best places to camp for visiting Valparaiso and parking your RV safe. Lots of space and as mentioned difficult to find. Look not only for the restaurant Cuca but also for the pedestrian walking bridge. Just before that is the dirt road.

Report Check-In

Looks like it could be nice but very run down and dogs running around everywhere. Pool was half empty and green. Wouldn't advise

Report Check-In

Run down and dirty, thought we were back in Argentina! Had to ask for light bulbs to be put in toilet, and gas went out in cooker when we tried to use it. Wifi not working. Have to asked her to put hot water on for shower, we did not bother. Pool empty. She wanted 8000 pp, we negotiated down to 7000, but still well overpriced.

Hard to find, be carfull when you get off the Mainroad, others will no so fast with breaking. Dirty Road for about 400m, than you will find it. For us is just fine 7000 p /Person and Night. Not the cheapest but for visiting Valpo its bether then other choises with a Big Truck. In Off-Season no charge for our Truck. Wifi is good. We were allmost allone. Nice owner.

16000 for two people in a camper. The swimming pool is great after a hot day.

Report Check-In

stayed here for two nights. lovely lady who speaks a little English running the place. showers, pool, camp sites (we had a camper van), power at sites, Wi-Fi at main building. Is not really close to anything but we caught an uber to Valparaiso which was perfect. Friendly dogs! much better than staying on the side of the road or a gas station. $8000 pp per night which we thought was reasonable

Report Check-In

Good camping with water, electricity, a pool and a trampoline and playground for the kids. We paid 20000 pesos for 2 adults and 2 kids aged 3 and 5.

Report Check-In

Pretty well established campsite with lit canopies, barbeques, sinks, benches and a shower/toilet block. The owner is very amenable with good English. Looks like they are doing some maintenance although it is slightly scruffy. Quite hard to find - a small dirt track directly off the main road signposted 'Rancho Casanova'. As other reviews it's expensive, but preferable to the gas station for our first night after leaving Santiago.

Report Check-In

Ok place when you need something near Valparaiso. Bit messy, but very friendly owner, hot showers, kitchen facilities.
Difficult to find especially when dark.

Report Check-In

Very strange experience. Small sign near the main road (direction vina del mar). Low season so camp ground was more or less abandoned. 7000 pesos per person, very friendly lady but all the rest was chaotic. Benches, sinks, bbq, swimming pool (not open), showers (no light), toys all over the camping, 6 dogs that kept fighting. Wifi near the main building. Ok camping but might be nicer in high season.

Report Check-In

Camped here for one night to fill up on water and take a shower. Nice flat campspots with individual sink, BBQ, and canañas. Shower was HOT but medicor clean. 7000 per person but another "bigger" overlander pulled up and she wanted an additional 7000 for the camper. (so they left)
