Be aware. When paying with card they will sneak in a big tip for themselves. We luckily saw it and denied payment until he corrected it to the right amount.

No problem with payment, via debit card, they didn’t try to add anything. Toilets free, but maybe just because we took gas, I don’t know. Otherwise carretera austral style copec- small shop for sweets, sandwich and coffee, atm, clean toilets with electricity and that’s it

Not a place where you’re welcome to stay long. Only 1 available toilet for which you pay 350 pesos and doesn’t lock! No seating area. You can’t recharge your mobile although it says that you can. Park only for 10minutes and so on...

Also got 1000 pesos more, always keep your card in hand in Chile. In all other stations of the country they will never take your card, so do the same here and keep it with you

No problems here. Remember foreigner are charged 1000 pesos if paying by debit. No extra charge for credit card.

New and open - with a coffee shop and toilets for 300, a station were you can check your bike and fill your water and an ATM bci bank (next to the toilets)

Same problem with paying by credit card. They tried to charge 900 pesos more. Check what you shall pay before.

We also refilled our water tanks at the tap left of the bike repair station. Didn’t ask for it but no one seemed to care.

We are here parked for 2 hours and staying. We said that our car need attention. The staff isn't rude or something but not felt much welcome. At morning a guy woke us up telling they not allow stay parked more than 10 minutes. Too late 😂 Password: "copecclientes". They really charge 300cp for use bathrooms.

Be careful when paying by credit card, they try to charge us more than the price.
Toilets are not free, and you can only park in front of the office during 10 minutes !

On 20 August 2020, this new Copec station is scheduled to open. We don’t know if there will be overlander parking, but even so, it will allow you to avoid the dubious adventure of fueling up at the one in town which will be closed simultaneously.
If this new station could add a decent grocery store and maybe a restaurant and some cabañas, it would enable overlanders to enjoy the beautiful surroundings without having to enter the overrated tourist trap of a town called San Pedro de Atacama with its convoluted one-way system of mostly narrow dirt roads. This could be a blessing particularly for those entering from Argentina or Bolivia in need of supplies.
