This is literally just a gravel pit on the side of the road soon after you exit on Jolly Road. The highway runs parallel to this road and you can hear highway noise but I had my ventilation fan going all night so I didn’t hear anything. I did not hear any cars come down this road until 6 am the next morning.
My Verizon phone shows 2 bars LTE and my Verizon hot spot shows 4-5 bars 4G.
Sunrise was pretty over the field with the wildflowers.
*Update* I added a photo of the sign at the bend in the road. Sounds like going down the dirt road on the ranch may be permissible also. That’s where I saw the other RV
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It’s noted by previous individuals, the actual gravel pit is that the head of the road not 2 miles down the road. I did go down the road a bit further, and found a nice little road by a couple of trees where I parked for the night. Some highway noise, but it didn’t bother me.
Report Check-InThe coordinates were not accurate for me for this site. Both Google Maps and Apple Maps took me two miles down Jolly Rd. There is no gravel pit to park at two miles down Jolly Rd. It is also the worst washboarded road I have been on in a long while. After reading the comments below it appears that the gravel parking area being referenced is the one just off the exit on the north side of the freeway. I moved on without checking in and updating the GPS coordinates. Hopefully the next person stopping here can update them.
Report Check-Indecided to drive a little bit on the gravel rd parked in a loop. were the only van. quiet beside noise of hw40. bit spooky?
dirt road with 2 or 3 spots. one good one by some tree's. Has t-mobile 4g
Report Check-InI planned to go from Lake Havasu to William and there isn’t much of anything in between those places and I grew tired so tried my luck at this exit. I actually saw an RV back in the field at the bend on the road as wel.
