I would recommend going to this region, if there is a phenomenon "Desierto Florido", once every few years during september-november - this is the best spot we found with the flowers. We camped in the desert in the middle of flowering desert, there is a small settlement through which you can enter there (no fence), we asked the owner, no problem.
We found maybe a better place the next day, on the other side of the road - take road C467 to Chehueque and there are some dirt roads to neighbouring hills with beautiful views.
Good mobile coverage (Claro).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
