40 sites right next to the North Platte river. $10 per night, no hookups, but there are flushing toilets. Open May 1st through October 15th. There is a swimming pool in the park which if you were to pay for entry there are showers. There is also a concession stand with food.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Small spots but was able to get a full size truck and 20 foot trailer backed in. Only 3 other campers mid-week.
If you are a light sleeper, be aware that there is a rail yard nearby. You'll hear train horn toots as they move stuff around the yard. Unfortunately, this happens every 5-10 minutes.
Warning. If you have a RTT, ground tent, or like to leave your camper windows open, then you won't enjoy the industrial grade sprinkler system that kicks on from 1:30am to 2:30am. It's like someone blasting your campsite with a firehose.
Between that and the trains, I personally did not sleep well at all. I'm a light sleeper and use noise cancelling headphones. But even those can't block the noise of what sounded like someone pressure washing the side of my trailer in the middle of the night.
If you are in a tent or have windows open, you're hosed. Literally.
I don't know if they run the sprinklers every night but be warned. This one is off my list for camping due to complete lack of sleep.
Report Check-InThis place was so cute. And only $10. The river was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Clean restrooms, a huge park to walk around and see animals - peacocks, llamas, deer, elk, bison, ducks, donkeys. My toddler loved it.
Report Check-InLots of small camping spots that are really close to each other, normally not my cup of tea, but... I was in the Walmart parking lot for an hour and it was extremely busy, dirty parking lot, and lots of loud cars and semis in the area. I have stayed at this Walmart before and the nose really never subsides. This is definitely worth ten bucks! I wouldn't bring a large trailer in here. Open from April 15 to November 1.
Report Check-InWe spent three nights here; the first night there was only one other person, and after that we had the entire place to ourselves. Pretty, well maintained, right next to the river, playground for the kids... really a perfect spot -- and only $10/night! No hookups available, but there is a clean bathroom, a free dump station, and a place to fill your water tank. No showers. Full bars on both Version & ATT.

Report Check-In$10, self-registration. Has an RV dump and flush near bathrooms.
Only 3 sites taken at 9:00 pm.
Open April 16-October 31
Super nice parl and campground Four or five other spots taken, still lots of room on a Sunday in August.
Report Check-InLots of people but a good deal at $10 if you don’t want another night of wilderness or Walmart. Animals must be restrained.
Report Check-InLots of spaces open, quiet and safe park! Pay station at the bathrooms, cash only.
Report Check-InUnique and nice park in the town! We stayed one night; the pay station is located at the bathrooms and is cash only. There were PLENTY of parking spots when we arrived at around 8pm on a Saturday night. Verizon cell service worked just fine. There were two flushing toilets in the women's restroom with toilet paper; no soap or hand dryer. We woke up to the geese and peacocks talking to each other when the sun rose, got to see a new baby doe playing with its mom, and walk around to see the other animals before heading out.
Report Check-InExceeded expectations. Only $10. Only 4 spots taken on night we stayed in mid-May. Flat campsite with picnic table, adequate bathroom with flush toilets, unique place with fenced-in Buffalo, antelope, lamas, elk and peacocks (wildlife vending machines for kids to feed animals). Seasonal pool, concessions and tennis courts, locomotive train from 1943 you can go inside as well as a newer diesel train on display. Nice walks through park. Two miles off I-80. Campsites near highway 83 will probably hear a lot of traffic noise. We didn't hear a thing other than the wind and our air fans. Was quite hot, 93 degrees but strong breeze made it bearable. Overall a very good choice and can't beat price.
Report Check-In$8 Dry Camp. Good stop a few mikes off I80. On the river in a city park. Traffic noise. Flush toilets were clean. Pay w envelope.
Report Check-InExcellent campground! $7/night for drycamping. (Dumpstation available). Both Verizon and ATT worked good enough to work and watch Netflix.
The bonus was the park, animals and concession stand with EXCELLENT FOOD!
