Spot near a lake on the road to Potosi | Wild Camping

Not possible to stay overnight here anymore. Instead of only piles of sand to block the entrance to the camping spots aside the road, now they on top added tires, to show this is private property. People were there with their animals, looked at us while turning back, but were not welcoming.

Everything as described beside the height. It’s 4045 m above sea level! (Not only 1035 m)
Next morning the very friendly farmer from the house opposite the lake came by. Small talk, laughter, foto with our car. Then he asked also politely for money. We gave him 10 BOB.

Like said before. Really nice spot to camp woth a tent. No water. Cold at night.

Good spot to spend one night. Cold during the night but with a good sleeping bag it’s ok.

Hello
So lovely spot for one or two days between Potosi and Uyuni.
With our motorhome of 9 tonnes and 8 meters long it was ok for the sandy road and we are not 4×4
I just need to work with my shovel for the entrance of the spot near the lake because there was a mound of sand.
The température of the night is around 5 under zero in july and in the morning you have ice on the lake, nice.
Windy in the day.
Perfect place for family.....you're children will run...but not a lot....you're to 4000 meters...
And something important...this place is clean

a good and quiet spot for an overnight stay before or after potosi. We stayed here twice. The way is packed sand, no problem to drive up.

really nice spot for overnight. lot of spaces for kids to run and play in the sand.
very quiet, no traffic at all during the night.

Sandy campsite and not really beautiful in dry season. The dog on the other hand hat lots of fun in the sand!

We stopped here coming from uyuni as it got really late due to blockades on the way. good quiet place.

Really beautiful. But we drove about 200m further to a little Creek (now dry). We found it nicer.
