We hat a wonderful quit night in the middle of the National Park. Maybe it's a little bit expensive, but you support one of the few National Parks. And think about how much gas you burn for driving through Peru and South America

Yes the price is 30s for foreigners but the birding was excellent and even though we were here on the weekend there was literally no one else. We did camp for two nights and when we left we were charged an extra 5s for the second day as admission is for only 24hrs. If you crave silence and enjoy birds, do come here. The price was worthwhile to support their efforts to preserve these wetlands.

Now 30soles each for extranjeros
Ok to sleep inside the park in your car but no facilities
It is not worth it if you are not a bird lover

entrance is now 30 soles per person. they are building a visitor center at the entrance, maybe some facilities in the future

Come into the reserve and turn right when it comes to a T, we drove following the road to the beach and camped there right next to a fresh water stream. We were worried about the bugs, but not too many at the beach. Quiet night and morning.

we came after 6.30pm. no one around- but we could enter. we stayed two nights. at weekend busy with people from arequipa. lots of birds at the lakes and ocean. we could drive up to the river (2x4sprinter van). no facilities. lte movistar internet reception.

Laguna Mejía, es parque nacional , donde es posible ver avista miento de aves, también es una playa , donde muchos pescadores realzan sus labor con redes de arrastre. Acá conocimos a uno de ellos , señor Macario, muy agradable y hospitalario..!!! Es posible acampar.
