This a beautiful campground. 23 large, level, well spaced sites in a wooded area. A few pull-through spots. First come, first served (recreation.gov shows the calendar as unavailable). We spent two nights here, $4/night with our senior pass we were the only ones here, even the ranger never came by. Wonderful vista and nice hiking trail starts near site 16. Vault toilets are the only amenity.
Report Check-InNice, quiet campground. No views from sites, but it's a very short walk to the overlook (behind site #5).
Report Check-InVery lovely campground in the Ouchita forest. Serene and quiet with sites spaced out nicely. Emerald view trail a great hike. Half off w/ America the Beautiful pass. Amazing views and awesome in the springtime.
Report Check-InEnjoying fresh cool air. Nice little campground with a killer view nearby.
Report Check-InRather unbelievable! Wednesday evening in July & we are the only ones here! Haven’t seen a bear yet but did have a skunk walk through our site. lots of trees. I believe there are 4 pull through sites but the others look like they have ample room. Has tent area but haven’t checked it out yet. All shaded spots with poles to hang food away from the bears or a lantern or even a hammock. Paid $14. Pit toilets as you enter the circle drive. Fire rings & tables at each site too. Great find. Thanks to Overlander!
Report Check-InNice campground. Has pit toilets. Water was off when I was there (presumably for winter.) Prices were correct as stated in previous comment. paid $16 for 2 nights. Has a few pull through sites for big rigs and a few double spots with two parking spaces and two tables. Great hiking all around, and there's also a backpackers camp that is walk-in with tent pads, tables and fire rings.
Beautiful view at Emerald Vista that is a short walk from any site in the campground. Has bear proof garbage cans and signs saying "bear country."
