Border between Kazakhstand and Kyrgyzstan, open 0800 - 1800 hrs, also on Sunday. Border is now open all year around!
Super relaxed crossing, no queue and really fast; 20-60 minutes total.
From Kazakh side towards the border it's asphalt now. Kyrgyz side is old asphalt and gravel towards Typ and Karokol.
There are no facilitities, so change money in Kegen (Kazakstan) or Typ / Karokol (Kirgistan)

We had very fast and easy crossing as well.
Further support top post, we were across (2 motorbikes, 2 people) in 15 minutes!
Report Check-InI can only confirm. Very relaxed crossing. We even topped the last comment. It took us only 20 min. Open from 08:00-18:00.
Report Check-InVery easy border crossing and the fastest since Europe. We crossed from KZ to KG. On each side they quickly checked the car, get your passport stamped and done. In total 35 minutes.

Report Check-InSuper relaxed process. The guards are very friendly on both sides. Came from Kirgisistan to Kasachstan. We need one hour.
Report Check-Instill open but was told will close on the last day of October 2019 due to the snow. There was snow on the Kazakhstan side near the border. It meant the road was a combination of slushy mud and snow. was only bad for 10km until tarmac highway to Kegen.

Report Check-InEverything was good and quick. Border guys were very friendly. We spent at the border some 15-20 min It was only one car before us. Roads before and after border is not good condition.

Very friendly, took us only 25min! Only quick control of car on both sides. Road is gravel on both sides, but driveable for all cars.
Report Check-InWe were refused at the Kyrgyzstan side when exiting because they do not process E-Visa. Keep this in mind. Even though, they were very friendly.
Report Check-InWhen we came here we felt the border has become much more strict now on the Kazachstan side. Apparantly there had been an incident that caused this extra control. They didn't trust us so they had a dog searching our car for any drugs (what we didn't had ofcourse). My guess is we had to wait for about 1 hour to pass and it wasn't busy. The road on the Kyrgich side is terrible when you don't have 4x4 big car or something so we had to drive slowly which took a long time. On the Kazach side it was the same but that was because they were fixing the road so I guess it will be temporary.
Report Check-InAttention: this border cannot be crossed (neither enter nor exit) if you have an electronic Visa for Kyrgyzstan!

Two people with a British car, passed the border in 45 min leaving Kazakhstan. No need to pay anything. Border guards were friendly and no sign of corruption.
No facilities. Roads on both side are gravel but the scenery is beautiful and worth it.
Open 8-18, also open on Sunday. Took us 20 minutes total, guards were friendly - Kazakh side tried to get a ‘present’ but we declined to give away our pocket knife and they didn’t push for anything else. No facilities. Last 10 km on Kazakh side were a bit rocky, Kyrgyz side is old asphalt. Roads are all good enough and the scenery on both sides is amazing.
Report Check-InEasy bordercrossing, very friendly guards. Border control on Kazach side let me open every box in our truck and asked about religious books ( because of my beard?).If you don’t have your own transport arrange this in advance, there is nothing at the border.
Report Check-InSuper fast, almost no papework required. I have crossed from Kyrgazstan to Kazakhatan, with a motorcycle. Basically no luggage check, very friendly people at both borders.

From Karakol via Tyup the last 37km before the border are gravelled.
On Kazakh side, the first 10km are on reconstruction, therefore you have to drive on a gravelled road beside.
In Kegen, change is available at Post Bank office, and in the main road, there is a Beeline shop for sim card.
Easy, they even waited for us and we were to late, about 6:30 PM. Total nice border staff.
