We slept about 2km further at the confluence of 2 rivers. It is really very beautiful and very quiet! The water in the river is cool but it is pleasant to swim there on a sunny day. Only downside, the sun disappears behind the hill at 5pm and appears in the morning around 7am. No Claro signal.
Report Check-InHere you can find several spots along the road. Not at all protected, but really quiet region and nice to stay. Some horses and sheeps around. If you are lucky, some men of the troutfarms pass by and sell some fresh trouts. Bought two big ones for 10soles. Not the cheapest of Peru😉, but they were happy and we were, too. Delicious.
Or you can stop at the troutfarms yourself, there they sell fish, too.
No cell network.
We came here but felt too exposed and windy and close to the road unless you want to go over some bigger rocks. We moved 3.8 km back north to a spot we found that was less rocky and cold
