Older campground but clean. $4 per night along a fishing river. Full hookups available for RVs, flush toilets and showers.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice guy working the campground. $25 cash. Quiet place no road noise
Report Check-InAbout the same as last year
There were only three sites open
I didn’t reserve online
The rv sites appear to be full
Paid $20 in the blue honor box for a tent site
Good spot to stop
I just drove out here was able to get a spot during the week. They do like to do reservations. Better luck getting a spot during the week if driving by. Good place to just stop and relax for the night and get cleaned up there is shopping close by. Got showers to clean up. Dump station on site water hookup and electric. And if you're a fisherman I hear the fishings good seen them jumping.
Report Check-InIf you're arriving late to Lake Shelby Campground, you can call Dan, cell 502.633.5069. The facilities are a bit tired, but the atmosphere and trees are lovely.
Report Check-InVery quiet calm laid-back county campground. Friendly easy-going host. $20 tent. Flush toilets with shower. Lots of waterfowl. Signs say you must reserve online but can’t do that day-of. Host will let you know what’s available for walk-up.
Great place.
Very quiet and LOTS of waterfowl. Signs say you must reserve online but online says you can’t reserve day of so I self-paid and if I have to move I guess I will. There is a blue box with envelopes to self-pay. $20/night for tent spot.
Report Check-InWe were here off season and plenty of spaces in the RV section. Since we did not need any services and were only staying for one night, the manager allowed us to park in the tent section on the lake. It was peaceful and quiet with only the sounds of the geese. A nice reprieve from truck stops and parking lots. Cost was $20 in the RV area and $15 in the tent section.
Report Check-InQuiet, comfortable. Reservations made online in advance. The first 6 tent spots are not along the water, rather they are on a grassy field along the road leading up.
Report Check-InNice tent camping spots right on the water. Had a few bites but never caught anything, seems like a good fishing spot. It was also raining almost the whole time so didn’t get to do much exploring.
The campsite got very muddy because of the rain, we did not check out the bathrooms or much else. The RV spots looked kind of small & I wasn’t sure if there is even a place to register? This is a park so expect cars to be driving through. We liked it enough that we will be back.
Report Check-InSmall campground along the banks of a reservoir lake. There is no swimming in the lake, but you are able to fish and kayak. Not sure if they had a price increase since the initial post, but dry tent sites are now $17 plus tax. They have a few FCFS sites, but you can also reserve them on reserveamerica.com. We stayed two nights in our sprinter and had no problems. Dump station, potable water, garbage, flush toilets, and free hot showers available. Place is a bit spendy for what you get, but does the trick if you are in the area exploring the Bourbin Trail.
