Stopped in Gurrero Negro for two nights. The second night we stayed there after driving out to explore. it's about a 30 min drive from town but practically paved the whole way. Great for vans. The end of town and the entire area of the drive is an aviary preserve with lots of beautiful birds. was nice to see the tide roll out and the marshy ground appear. a family lives by the lighthouse and there is a boat dock where locals come. everyone is fairly friendly.

Very nice place. Thé road yo Come here Is bumpy during 6kms and note bad during 5kms.
Yesterday (friday) was full or family and fishermen. some of them with loud music from their cars. A family invites Is to taste their fish ceviche and oysters with chili sauce. we just try cevice ... they told us that It Is very cole there AND It was true. we were alone during the night very quiet.
spent a few days here, just soaking in all the water views and amazing sun rises/sets! Enjoyed the pelicans and gulls. the fishermen were friendly and it was nice to hear them laughing and joking among themselves =)
The road is washboard in a bunch of spots, but just take it slow and enjoy the bird preserve as you trundle along. Our 30 ft motorhome had no problems.
Lots of good spots to park/camp and the 4 dogs that live out here were friendly to us and our dogs.
There is some dog poo around, but minimal amounts of rubbish. Didn't see any needles.
Report Check-InThere are several possible locations out by the lighthouse and wharf. I like being more away from the action so camped on the backside of some ruins. Stayed here two night because the bird life here is amazing. Had cell service too. No issues at all staying here. The locals come and go fishing and harvesting some aquaculture shellfish but not where I was. I could just see and hear them.
Report Check-InIf your want to see lots of birds stop along the way out and back. Mostly pelicans and sea gulls once you arrive. It was very windy when I was there but so interesting to see fisherman in boats and collecting things when the tide was out.
Report Check-InRoad is wash board but very safe to get here. There are only fishermen here besides my van. I have 3G AT&T service as well. There are birds here but today is so windy it’s not pleasant to sit outside and watch them. It was easy to find and feels safe too.
