Description

This is an Ecuador Aduana control primarily for traffic going north. All northbound traffic is detoured but not all are checked.
Going from Peru -> Ecuador after their offices are closed at the main site you may have to come here to check in your vehicle afterwards.
Going from Ecuador -> Peru you may need to stop here if you are after hours and drop off your TIP. The main Aduana should be open from 08:00-19:00 weekdays and 08:00-13:00 Saturday. If passing within this time you should not need to stop here. But may be worth stopping.

Update Ecuador -> Peru: you do NOT need to come here, they will not take your tip. Go directly to CEBAF.

Report Check-In

We were leaving Ecuador entering Peru on two motorcycles, on a Sunday around 11:00AM. Needed some guidance from the policia on exactly where to park and which office to enter, but was overall straight forward. There were quite a few people (mostly Venezuelan refugees) in the office with only one aduana officer, and I thought the wait would be long, but the officer took us ahead of others and quickly stamped our import permits, which he kept. He let me take a pictures of the canceled permits as I read that this might be needed on Peru side, but in fact I never needed them.

Total time here was about 30 minutes. Our total time to cross the boarder including this and the subsequent stop down the road at the combined Ecuador/Peru immigration and Peru customs offices was 2. 5 hours (read my chek-in on the Ecuador/Peru CEBAF facility).

Report Check-In

We went there on a Sunday 5pm, and they told us all has to be done at the border. They do NOT take the TIP here. First go to the first CEBAF on the left before the bridge) to leave your Ecuadorian TIP, then head to the other CEBAF to do all the rest

Report Check-In

Think the hours mentioned here are out of date. Stopped here at 4pm on Saturday trying to cancel Ecuadorian TIP and they looked at us like we wer emad. Drove onto the main office by the border and everything was still open.

Report Check-In

We were here at 7.30 and it was open.
It tooks us 3min to cancel the TIP.
They now make a copy for you.

Report Check-In

This is an Ecuador Aduana control point. The main purpose for traffic going north. If crossing from Peru -> Ecuador after hours you may have to come here to check in your vehicle.

Report Check-In

We were told we need to keep driving to the Exit Peru / Entry Ecuador complex 6km towards the border to cancel our TIP, but as that office is only open until 1pm on Saturdays (open all day weekdays, but closed Sundays) the Aduana here at Cuncas took our TIP. But definitely stop here no matter what the day just in case.

Report Check-In

This is the first stop when leaving Ecuador to cancel TIP. Even if it looks like you can't turn in, come here first. Take a picture of cancelled permit (photocopy broken).

Report Check-In

Contrary to what the last person said, we were not able to cancel the TIP further down the road towards Peru. Stop here before going south.

Report Check-In

Pull up right in front of window and hand in temporary Ecuadorian vehicle permit for cancellation, takes 2 minutes. Receive a copy of the cancelled permit. Drive to next location.

Report Check-In

you can quit your TIP here of 4 km up in CEBAF offices. here it's open 8am to 5 pm. CEBAF opens 8am to 7pm

Report Check-In

really easy only took 5 minutes, I ask the lady at the counter just inside the main entrance and sorted it out

Report Check-In

This is the correct station to stop and drop off your Ecuadorian TIP. Go to te largest buildings and enter the official looking Ecuadorian door. There was a worker in the front lobby who took our paperwork, disappeared for a minute or two, and came back with the TIP with signatures and stamps for exits. Later in the day the Peruvian Adriana's agent (at a different customs station a bit down the road) asked to see this document, so make sure to keep track of it until you're in Peru and clear of customs.
