The place is still closed, despite ads on the road - what a shame.

Report Check-In

It seems to be that the place is closed. Two big locks on the first gate and no owner to be seen anywhere.

Report Check-In

first gate was closed but i found the owner going out. He didnt allow me to enter or use the toilet or slep there. i was asked to not enter in His property if i walked by the beach. 6pm and i had to drive back to the route and find another place.

Nice estancia/hotel in the Bahia Bustamante, where you can camp for free (as described before). The Routa Provincial 28 was in very good condition when we drove it, absolutely doable with normal cars too.
Diffrent tours available (Safari for 3750 pesos pp, boat tour for 6500 pesos pp). It’s also possible to visit the peninsula in your own car, they give you a map and helpful information.
Staff and owner very friendly

This is a hidden gem. The farm is owned by an open minded couple that speaks English. They have so much to share about the property and their farming techniques.
You can open the first gate and park outside of the second one, which is locked. Wander around and eventually someone will welcome you. They have WiFi, water, and showers to offer.
There are tide pools on the peninsula, cliff jumping into clear water, penguins nesting on islands, white sand beaches sheltered from wind, and so much more.

Wow very interesting place as described. We did the boattrip and saw more animals and different birds than in Valdès. Very friendly people!

Very nice place where you can camp for free. Google maps took us there without any issues from ruta 3 to 28 and then to 1, and the dirt road was ok for our 2WD camper van.
They let you camp here for free and even use their common room (with wifi) and bathroom (but no shower without taking a room). You can even travel the peninsula on your own either by foot or by car (park it at the center for 2wd and continue by foot or take the coast road for 4wd). There are two gates just before you arrive. Just open the first one on your own, and park next to the second which is locked. You can enter by foot to the right of the gate. It may look deserted at first, but you'll find the restaurant a bit further in where the staff will probably be.
They also offer several tours, the main one is a boat ride to several isles with pinguins, sea lions and many other birds which is a bit expensive (70USD), but worth it. They also had a free stargazing event at night with a small telescope.
You can eat at the restaurant, which is really expensive (e.g. 35USD pp for dinner) , or order take out which is pretty economic (the most expensive was ~500 pesos) and was pretty good.
the staff are all very nice and speaks fluent english, especially the tour guide Ramiro who was very knowledgeable and interesting and with a keen eye and vast knowledge of the surrounding animals.

Still free for (mini) campers. Nice quite place. We could use the common area (bathroom and wifi), no shower.
Take RT28 from the ruta 3. Road is good and with a 2WD campervan took us 40min to get to this place.

You can park your camper alongside the beach before the workshop. We were allowed to drive around the reserve (we would have walked but extremely windy), lots of birds, including rheas, and amazing beaches, scenery is unique to this peninsula and spectacular. Matthias is a great host and all staff are really friendly and helpful, we sat with Matthias for dinner ($USD35 each), very interesting guy, has travelled down overland from the USA. A privilege to stay here for free.

Report Check-In

very friendly Matthias. Free. Good expensive restaurant. Very good walks on the private peninsula.

Gate was closed and locked when we arrived. I guess it's only open during high season.

Report Check-In

It's still free for camper and you can also use the toilets. It' s like a little village with all the amenities sabbatical described before. It's belong to a company and they harvest seaweeds as well. Probably not one of the nicest spot, but interesting and before we paid a lot for shity camps.. The only thing is to open the gate and close it, after you got in. The sign in front of is even in english, which says camper are welcome.
