There’s a tiny parking lot here with a view of Austin! I parked here overnight with no problems, nobody bothered me, and when I woke up there were tons of people walking their dogs before sunrise :-) I felt super safe, it was really nice to wake up to this nice view

Epic spot!! Great view of the skyline in front of a huge park that was busy on the weekend with young people & dogs! Easy drive to downtown. Stayed for two nights & no one bothered me

Great spot! Second time here (first was in January).
The little parking lot is paid parking March-September on weekends, holidays, and special events. Free otherwise. If it is paid, there is a huge (100+ cars) gravel lot 150 metres down the road.

Currently 6 portapotties (pretty clean) by the little parking lot. Those weren’t here when I was in Austin 10 months ago.

Great view of downtown Austin & the park is nice.

Beautiful view of downtown if you get the right spot. Enjoyed a night here

Report Check-In

This spot is pretty much as advertised. We stayed in our van last night (a saturday) and did not get a knock or have any major issues. When we pulled in there was another van there for the night, and in a way that’s often pretty comforting.

Unfortunately people were coming and going well into the night, loudly slamming car doors and talking at full
volume. Early in the morning around 4:45am the first ‘morning folks’ started showing up and hollering at their dogs.

Between the end of the noise at night and the beginning of the noise in the morning we had about an hour of quiet. Despite that we did feel safe and would be willing to use this spot again. Can’t really beat the location and I chalk out experience up to it being saturday night.

Parked overnight here no issue! Honestly very quiet and close to lots of stuff in the area. This was my first spot I’ve ever stayed at in the van. I felt super safe. There was a police officer that came by to patrol but he didn’t pay any mind to me. The view is super cool, you just can’t really see it from the parking lot.

The view is absolutely gorgeous! Portapotties and trash on site. Pay to park on weekends, holidays and special occasions from 8am-10pm. Generally quiet at night except for the odd truck/freight train? Blaring it’s horn.

Report Check-In

As described. Quiet during the night and got busy in the morning. But a good place for one night.
