Description

Really great place to stop if you love dogs. 150 sled dogs. 200 pesos per person to enter, includes information about the dogs, a cozy cabin where they serve you a coffee tea or whiskey and then you can go around petting the 150 very friendly dogs. Fun to hang out for awhile, they take two dogs at a time for runs or training by having them pull a mountain bike. Snow Sled runs are available June through the end of October. Once the snow melts you can be pulled on a mountain bike or as a group in a four wheeler type cart. Great family runs the place, we h out for an hour talking. We just paid for one of us and after I spent a long time with the dogs they invited my husband in for free.

Unfortunately, you cannot visit the dogs anymore. They are currently still in the back to take a look, but they will move to another place soon.

This has become a tourist attraction. There were four tour buses there on a Thursday. Not sure about camping. New fences and parking area defined. Brand new whisky bar and souvenir shop. Large dining room restaurant with great price on all you can eat lamb or trout. Sled dog thing around back, but not open at the moment.
There’s a lot going on here. Watch for changes and post what you find.

Report Check-In

Can confirm the place is still open, still lots of dogs. Place to sample and buy whiskey also. Unfortunately, we arrived the same time as 3 large tour buses so we decided to carry on, so unsure of current price.

We really enjoyed coming to visit this place. The dogs are treated well, fed well, and are healthy and happy. These are working dogs. They way they live, each tied to their own chain with their own little dog house, is the best for them. Sled dogs worldwide live in identical conditions. For 200arg you visit all the dogs and give them as many cuddles as you want, and there is also free coffee, tea, and yummy hot chocolate. Your money helps with food, vet bills, and vaccinations. The people working there give you an informative presentation (English or Spanish) and are happy to answer all your questions. They provide volunteer opportunities as well as bring in school groups and special needs groups. As dog lovers, I would recommend stopping here.

Report Check-In

I came to the place and I saw the space where the dogs. The dogs become tied cres a little more than one meter each near a small house. Some with sad and tired look, I found degraded the condition of the dogs and gave up the activity. I believe that whoever loves do not have the courage to pay and submit the dogs those conditions.
