Latest Check-Ins

Great spot to overnight. If you don't want to climb for 6 hours in the clouds, spent a chilling night in a tent to maybe see the el Fuego eruption, then this is your next best bet. We paid Q150 for us two in a room with 2 double beds. ensuite bathroom with hot shower and the most fluffy white towels ever. Set our alarm twice during the late night and early morning but El Fuego did not shine....no fire, no red glow, no eruption..... guess that's nature for you. But still a very welcome stay, the owner/ staff is most attentive and super friendly.

We did WhatsApp the day before from the number on Google - no response but did check it was correct on arrival (will update description).

Owner speaks reasonable English

Report Check-In

3 cars parked from hotel guest. Absolutely no space for us. No idea if it is wise to take the effort to go here.

Report Check-In

According to the locals there are clear skies almost everyday in the very early morning, so it might be a good idea to put your alarm clock on 4:00 a.m. if you haven’t been lucky enough to see the spectacle in the evening. And don’t expect to get a perfect pic with your smartphone: the top of the Fuego is about 9 km away (compared to about 3 km from the summit of the Acatenango).

We had the best "fire work" ever.
We parked in the lot of the small hotel and paid 100 Q. Ckean & quite.
The dog was not a problem.
On the first floor you can sit outside and watch the eruptions of Vulcan de Fuego. Awesome!!!

The access road is steep, watch your back. It is easier and better to drive from North into the small road.

Report Check-In

Certainly the best place to observe El Fuego.
Be sure there is no party at night in the hotel : can be very noisy.
Paid Q100 for 2 people and a camper.
Hot shower and very clean bathroom.
Can't fit more than 2 campers
