Description

Old RV park, great for boondocking with level sites and lots of exploring in the area. Can access the water, but you don't want to.

*No Trespassing.
.....
There are good level areas on the beach too, just drive through the abandoned RV park. Don't park right in the middle of the beach because the area is also used by powered paragliders and ATVs - everyone is respectful. The sand is pretty well packed down and doesn't blow all over when the ATVs are riding so fine for everyone. Watch for soft spots, and especially be careful of conditions after recent rain.

clearly states "no trespassing " at entrance. do not camp here!

I camped about a quarter mile from the Abandoned Campground out on the sand. It is pretty solid out here and you have a great view of the water. I'm getting four bars of Verizon and good internet. T-Mobile is for bars without internet.
It's very peaceful here, and the other campers are spaced 1/4 mi. away.

Report Check-In

Worte, strong smell, some homeless, Itself a good place, but the smell is horrible

Report Check-In

maybe not the greatest place for tent camping (you're literally in view of houses, very little privacy if you need a wee) but nobody bothered me and the sunset was very nice.

Report Check-In

Great spot to stay a night or 14. Plenty of room at the old RV park or down on the beach.

Perfect weather. Excellent location. Chose to stay on the beach rather than the RV park. Rooster is still alive and well as I could hear it while outside taking sunrise pics. 2-3 bars of AT&T 5G(E), though sometimes slow. Know that Light Sand = Dry and Dark Sand = Wet (danger!). Saw a van get stuck and it hadn’t even rained recently. Waters edge is a long ways out and I don’t know what conditions are like out there. Motorized paraglider was a joy to watch the next day. Easy access to Anza Borrego. Highly recommend.

I love it here this time of year. It has been noisier than normal with more off readers until very late into the night... but overall everyone is very respectful

Report Check-In

So, if you are already out here, not a terrible place to stay. Smells more like livestock to me than fish. Careful where you park, some spots off the beaten path are very soft, just watched a Sprinter get pulled out by a Jeep. Saw some powered paragliders, so maybe something fun to do here, but otherwise, more just a place to stay.

We prefer the Salton Sea View spot up Borrego Salton Sea Way. Get a view of the lake/sea, no smell, very quiet, places to ride bikes or ohv, hike.

Report Check-In

Ok place for a night or two. Can be noisy with all the paraglider flying around. Verizon service is good. Can be a bit smelly if the wind is blowing off the sea towards you. Currently there are 4 other RV’s, another pulled into a spot, then decided he’d prefer to be everyone else’s view and pulled into the road instead. Sad people have no consideration for anyone else.

DON'T COME HERE! Sitting on the beach right now. 100 feet from the water. I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. Worst beach ever. Can't even get close to the water cause the mud is waist deep. Plus, it smells horrid, super intense dead fish smell. Would NEVER recommend. Staying tonight. Gone in the morning.

Report Check-In

Wow cool place! Lots of space much of it level. The paragliders were going and it was pretty neat. We were more worried about the rooster we can hear from the home not too far away.

Report Check-In

Nice spot. Plenty of spots. View of the water. Sunny. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Perfect weather -no bad smell besides a little agricultural from time to time. Hardly anybody here - I parked on the beach. I love the fact that the sand is packed down pretty good so doesn't blow all over like in the dunes and desert

Report Check-In

old RV park, great for boondocking with level sites, quiet spot with lots of exploring in the area.
