We stayed here for one night given that Pension Vallegrande did not feel right. We came with bicycles and stayed in the river bed just around the corner which is better hidden from the road but you can clearly hear the road. Okayish spot, watch out for needles aka flat tires.

surrounded by mountains and nature. noise from road not too bad at all. next to dry river bed (but small puddles of clean water enough to wash in morning). lots of tiny mosquitoes but great spot

Dormimos una noche en esta zona apartada de la ruta, rodeada de naturaleza. Hay un río que pasa justo al lado (cuidado a los mosquitos en la noche!). La zona está en obra, a la mañana llegó una máquina pero lejos de nosotros porque es grande.

Still available. The spot is large enough to get yourself comfortable, leveled and away from the road. Surrounded by nature so our cats were happy. Little noise from the highway throughout the night.

Indeed a good one nighter. Large area down below road. We went as far down as possible for a flatter spot, which meant we were closer to the road but better hidden. Not much noise anyway. Wood for fire. Nothing else.
We stopped for a break here 10 days later though, and earth moving machines had been in to clear a path to some land across the dry river bed. We didn't stay, and not sure how long this will be an option. Worth checking though.

The best place in a lot of kilometers if you come from Samaipata. Hidden from the road and surround by the nature. Very quiet. Perfect for one night. No facilities.
