A great spot in the Sonora Desert National Monument Park. Take exit 144 on Interstate 8 and drive south. After a few km there is a sign that you are entering the Saguaro Nat. Monument. Drive as far as you want (good gravel road) and pick a spot you like. No infrastructure, very quiet, free. đź‘Ť

Tons of places to camp out here. Very desolate. Amazing stars. Only a couple of others camping nearby. We found a creepy note about a person who was begging for help in a fire ring. We left and camped closer towards the national monument entrance
Report Check-InGood spot! Small primitive fire rock ring and lots of flat ground. Many other spots full on the road in. Can’t comment on the stars as we had a cloudy night with a little rain.
Report Check-InIt was a quiet night. We got a bit spooked because it tried to rain a little but it didn’t amount to much. Very peaceful, saw other campers when we were driving in but couldn’t see anyone from this spot.
Report Check-InCo ordinates just slightly off. This takes you down a road with no areas to park. Maybe there are spots further down, but turning my rig around was a concern where this took me.
Report Check-InThe road in isn’t terrible. As mentioned pick any spot you like. 2 bars LTE on Verizon.
Report Check-InNice, quiet, secluded spot. Bumpy dirt road on the way in. Dispersed camping. Stayed in RTT
Report Check-InPlenty of spots along the dirt road. Be nice to the flora/fauna and pick up your trash. We found a lizard in an old beer can.
Report Check-InBeautiful desert spot in the Sonora. Far enough from highway, perfect for a quiet night or two. Not sure if so nice in summer as it might be hot, but now at the end of January it is simply đź‘Ť.
Report Check-InEasy to get to with any vehicle. Nice and quiet, pretty desert spot. I would say this is a good spot for winter/spring camping but would avoid in the summer.
