Something not right?

Description

When you are arriving to Puente de Dios, take the road on the right before the train rails then follow the train rails (it says Campamentos). At the end of the road there are a couple of very basic campgrounds (the road is in quite bad condition, they say in rainy season is not passable. Our car is 2W, nevertheless). We payed 50 pesos to park there one night (no tent). In low season no one was around, you´ll have to ask for the manager or caretaker around. Both of the campgrounds have direct access to the waterfall, so you don't have to pay the entrance. We were all by ourselves and they have beautiful fruit trees and shadows, they say in Semana Santa and other holidays it gets superbusy. Cell signal is limited but if you walk down the road 200m you can get 3G

we stayed here. there are 2 campsites next to each other with the same name?
the one next to the entrance asked 150 pesos per person.
the on next door 100 pesos per person.
we had a nice time between the fruit trees and other campers

We were here during semana santa. They charge 140 pp including toilet+showers. Restaurant at the location. Nice campground with lots of trees, very beautiful. Direct access to the cascadas for which we paid 80pp (free for kids under 4). No discount. Full of people, huge lines to get to the cascadas though. Bring your lifejacket or rent one for 30 pesos and get some dinero in the village before, thats all they take.
We didnt stay long because not very suitable for young kids and lots of fiesta during the night.

as described. They charge per person. paid 240 pesos for 2 adults, one child. camping here provides a 15 peso discount for the falls entrance fee.

Only camper here! Was charged 110 pesos for camping and includes bathrooms and showers. Showers were warm as it was a hot day. If cooler, showers would be too. You you get a 15p discount for staying here when you enter the park. Lots of trees for shade and some sunny spots too. Need to leave by 3 pm otherwise you will be charged another day

Report Check-In

Paid 220 which included a discount for the entry into the park. Probably could have bargained since no one was there. big area for the pup to run around. Try to avoid rainy season because the waters are just muddy and not the pristine blue.

Basic camp ground but very well located. the price was 70 peso per person and no parking fee. The 70 pesos included a discount for the Puente de Dios entrance.

Report Check-In

Prices have changed. It is 100 for adults and 50 for kids. The private path to the fall is now closed so you have to pay 35 pesos per adult (20 if the campground gives you a discount bracelet) and 20 for kids (kids do no have discounts). The life jakets are mandatory and cost 25 per person.

The location is nice, shady trees and a lot of space. But what you get for 80.-/p. is not much: Toilets are very bacic (no doors), showers a building site (womens not usable), no wifi, no water, no posibility to wash your cloths, power an extra 10.- per hour!!!! Rubish on the grass, straying dogs and billions of sand flies.

As mentioned below, follow the signs for Puente de Dios from Tamasopo village, and then follow the rain trails when the road splits (trails on your left hand). There are two signs, one for Campamento and the other for Puente de Dios. At this camp, you dont pay for the entrance to the "pool" as they have their own trail to go down. They asked for 80 pesos pp but when we told them we stay in the campervan, she asked for 70pp. Whatever.. Two months ago the guys paid 100 for two people. There is no receipt, no price list. They ask what they feel like. Clean showers and nice shady area under mango trees. Avoid summer season. It was extremely hot and humid when we visited (early May). The visit is amazingly worth it and Puente de Dios was our best from all Huasteca Potosina as well as value for money.

Great place! I think it needs clarifying that you don't need to turn at the railway tracks as soon as you come into town but go through down and eventually youll see the split, the road is rough but short. The owner was lovely and spoke good English, we paid 150 for us and our rig. The falls are amazing and he's got life jackets if you need them.

In our opinion this is the spot! Directions in description are accurate, drive the dirt road next to the railroad tracks, turn into the gated campground with the sign that says Campamento Puente de Dios. This is the original campground and the owners are doing their best to keep it as natural as possible. We were quoted 70 pesos per person to tent camp, once they realized we sleep in our vehicle the price was lowered to 50 pesos per person per day. The owner, Franciso, speaks very good English and is a wonderful photographer. The Poza Azul is phenominal, worth the trip. If you are not a strong swimmer life jackets are available.
