Good free overnight place on top of Piekenierskloof Pass at a cell phone tower under big Eucalyptus trees with a nice view over the valley. 300 m from a tarred road, but not visible and without road noise. 4G MTN signal.
Report Check-InBest wildcamping spot we have found in South Africa so far. Easily accessible, extremely quiet and amazing view. Very good cell phone reception on vodacam and MTN.
Report Check-InNice place and beautiful view
without the rain it would be better but still a nice place for the night
nobody around
absolutely magnificent spot. found a piece of tarpaulin and used it as a ground sheet. whoever logged this place a huge thank you.
Report Check-InOne year after the last comment is still everything the same and a nice place. After having passed the antenna we followed the track another ca 400 m down. Here you are away from the noisy antenna. Just are aware of the baboons.... they are hanging around in the rocks.
Report Check-InAll as stated before- nice spot with great views. We also stayed down at the lowered of the field. No one came by or disturbed us.
Report Check-InNice Spot for an overnight stay on the way to the cederberg region. Beautiful view and good for a campfire.
Report Check-InBeautiful location, great sunset view. To be completely out of sight, turn right at the antenna and continue another 15 meters to the lower end of the field. Street noise audible but not disturbing. Take care with wild camping in South Africa though!
